Phoebe smelled the alcohol on his body and couldn’t help but frown. “I came here to return the shares of the Richardson Group to you.”

Declan sneered. “Phoebe, you went through all that trouble to find Grandma, intending to divorce me, and now you want to return the shares? Are you saying you do not want the divorce anymore?”
Phoebe looked at him coldly. “No.”
“Then don’t come to bother me again. Keep the shares, and from now on, we owe each other nothing.” Declan said.
After a moment of silence, Phoebe spoke. “When do you plan on going to notarize the divorce agreement?”
A cold glint flashed in Declan’s eyes. “Tomorrow morning. Don’t worry. I won’t drag it out on purpose.”
Phoebe nodded. “Alright, I have nothing else to say.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Declan slammed the door of the villa shut.
The next morning, as Phoebe walked into Miracle Youth, Adrian came over with a contract.
“Ms. Greene, this is the project we’ve been planning for half a year. Please take a look. If there are no issues, once you sign it, we can begin,” Adrian said.
Ignoring the sycophantic smile on Adrian’s face, Phoebe took the document and replied indifferently, “I understand, Mr. Turner. You can go back for now.”
Adrian’s smile faltered slightly. “Ms. Greene, aren’t you going to review the document?”
“I have other contracts to go through. I will find you once I am done,” Phoebe said.
Adrian’s expression turned sullen. “Okay, I understand.”
Once Adrian left Phoebe’s office, his face darkened.
He thought about Felix’s threat. If he failed to get this project, he wouldn’t have the

money to pay Felix./
With the funds from the project, he could not only pay Felix back but also run off with the remaining money. As for Miracle Youth’s future, it was none of his concern.
After Adrian left, Phoebe felt an inexplicable sense of unease.
She glanced at the time; city hall would open soon. ‘Declan should be calling me soon,‘ she thought.
As she thought this, the time seemed to drag on. ‘I hope this divorce will go through smoothly this time, she wondered.
Around 10 AM, Phoebe received a call from Patrick. “Ms. Greene, Mr. Richardson has been in a car accident and needs to sign for surgery. Please come right away.”
Phoebe’s heart sank. “I will be there immediately.”
After hanging up, Phoebe rushed to the hospital. Once she signed the necessary paperwork for Declan’s surgery, she turned to Patrick, who was standing nearby. “How did he suddenly get into a car accident?”
He explained, “This morning, Mr. Richardson went to city hall to notarize your divorce agreement. On the way, a car

“But when they reached the bridge, the car sped up and attempted to force Mr. Richardson’s car into the river. The driver swerved sharply and crashed into an oncoming bus. The other car took the opportunity to leave.”
Phoebe’s face turned extremely dark. Coldly, she asked, “Have you traced the information on that car?”
“We are still investigating. The car was using a fake license plate, so it may take some time to track down,” Patrick replied.
Phoebe said, “I understand. Do not tell Mrs. Richardson about this. We will wait until the surgery is over.”
Patrick nodded. “Mr. Richardson instructed the same before he lost consciousness. Since his parents are abroad, Ms. Greene, Mr. Richardson may need your care for a while.”
Phoebe was about to speak when her phone rang.
The ringtone was strange, and it was unknown what instrument it was from, but her face changed immediately.
She walked to the side and took out her phone. On the screen appeared a message.
[Iris, among the people we previously let go, one of them is the real Scorpion. He pretended to be a lackey in order to escape. Now we have been exposed, and Scorpion’s people are chasing me. They will probably find you soon. Stay safe.]
