Chapter 76
Once she had the footage, she would pretend to accidentally delete it, and then make up an excuse that she no longer wanted to watch it. That would surely cover up everything
Just as the staff was about to hand her the Pad, Marcus suddenly reached out and took it from them, speaking calmly, “TI handle it. Ms. Jennings is injured and her hand isn’t convenient right now.”
Bianca was momentarily stunned.
Jennifer turned to look at a cup of water nearby, silently picking it up. She was about to spill the water on the Pad in a feigned careless move, but Marcus had already noticed her plan. He turned to look at her, his expression cold.
Jennifer, already feeling guilty, was startled by Marcus‘ penetrating gaze, causing the cup in her hand to fall to the ground.
Marcus smiled, his tone ambiguous. “Ms. Greene, why are your hands shaking?”
Jennifer quickly hid her hands behind her back and feigned calmness. “It’s nothing. The water was just a little hot. I didn’t hold it steady.”
“Well, next time, be more careful. Holding something too hot will only burn yourself,” Marcus said.
Jennifer caught the implied meaning behind his words. Her eyes turned cold, and she stopped speaking.
Marcus set the Pad to 16x speed and quickly finished watching the footage. He handed the Pad to Declan, his expression now much colder. “Declan, you can watch it yourself.”
After Marcus spoke, he turned to Scott with a sneer. “Scott, your girlfriend is quite something. She is really a good actress.”
Scott frowned, but before he could speak, Marcus turned and left.
From the moment Marcus finished watching the surveillance footage, Bianca’s face had turned pale. She knew that today’s situation could no longer be covered up.
By the time Declan finished watching the footage, his expression was as cold as ice.
A wave of indescribable anger and guilt surged within him. Declan thought back to the moment when he had forced Phoebe to apologize earlier, and his grip on the Pad tightened involuntarily, his fingertips turning pale.
He threw the Pad at Bianca with all his might, and Bianca screamed in fear. Though she managed to avoid it, her face turned as pale as paper.
Scott was shocked. The drastic change in Declan and Marcus’s attitude indicated that Bianca was probably not as innocent as she had appeared.
“Scott, I told you in the lounge to manage Bianca. If you can’t, I won’t mind stepping in and helping you manage her,” Declan had said earlier.
After Declan left, Scott’s gaze turned cold as he looked at Bianca, his anger rising. “What’s really going on? Bianca, I’m giving you one chance. If you lie, we’re done.”
After hearing from the staff that Phoebe had returned to the hotel, Declan rushed over. As soon as he entered the room, he saw Phoebe packing her things.
He hurried over to stop her, unsure of what to say. “Phoebe, I want to talk to you.”

Phoebe looked at him indifferently. “Declan, I’ve already told you. I won’t apologize. Even if you bring me in front of Bianca, I won’t apologize.”
“I don’t want you to apologize. I’ve already seen the surveillance footage,” Declan said, his voice dry. He didn’t know what to do to make Phoebe forgive his previous actions.
Phoebe pressed her lips together, her eyes devoid of emotion. “Okay, since you don’t want me to apologize, can you move aside?”
“Where are you going?” Declan asked.
Phoebe’s impatience was becoming clear, and just as she was about to speak, the voice of Audrey, filled with anger, came from outside the door. “What does it have to do with you where Pheebs is going?”
Declan turned around and saw Audrey storming into the room, furious. “Grandma, could you stop causing trouble?”
Phoebe was already in a bad mood. If they didn’t resolve this matter now, her attitude toward Declan would only grow colder.
Audrey sneered. “Now I understand why Pheebs wants a divorce. With a jerk like you, the sooner she divorces, the easier it will be. I support Pheebs in divorcing you.”
