Bianca was furious when she learned she had to publicly apologize to Cora on Roseberg’s biggest billboard. She smashed everything in the living room in anger. She couldn’t accept the idea of apologizing to Cora. ‘I won’t let Cora get away with this,‘ she thought.
The news of Bianca’s public apology soon spread. Jennifer found out the details and thought Bianca was being incredibly foolish.
Jennifer didn’t expect that Bianca would put herself in this situation over a dress. She decided to pretend she didn’t know anything about it and didn’t try to comfort Bianca.
Soon, the day arrived for Bianca to apologize.
During the apology, Bianca choked up several times, crying from anger.
Someone filmed the event and posted it online, but the Wright Group quickly had it removed, so the incident only spread within a small circle. Still, Bianca felt humiliated and locked herself in her house for three days before she was willing to leave.
Cora not only received Bianca’s apology but also got a 6–million–dollar transfer from Scott.
This time, she accepted it. She had originally planned to give the money to Phoebe, but Phoebe refused.
“Since you don’t accept it, I’ll treat you and Mason to dinner tonight. He’s also helped me a lot with this, even introducing me to the lawyer,” Cora said.
Phoebe raised an eyebrow. “So, you and Mason had dinner that night just because of this?”
“Yes, do you have time tonight? I’ll check with Mason to see if he’s free,” Cora replied.
“No need. You and Mason go enjoy your time. I won’t be joining you,” Phoebe said.
Cora was texting Mason when she heard Phoebe’s response. She looked up at Phoebe curiously. “Are you having a fallout with Mason?”
Phoebe shook her head. “No, but due to some personal reasons, I probably won’t be seeing him for a while.”
Cora wanted to ask more, but Phoebe spoke first. “Enough. I have work to do. You should head back.”
“Then I’ll treat you to a meal another day,” Cora said.
“Alright,” Phoebe replied.
After Cora left, Phoebe picked up the document she had intended to read, but her phone rang.
Seeing that it was Audrey, Phoebe couldn’t help but smile and quickly answered the call. “Mrs. Richardson, what a surprise! What made you call me today? Aren’t you out shopping?”
Among the Richardson family, only Audrey truly cared for Phoebe. Despite her marriage to Declan nearing its end, Audrey could never bring herself to be cold to Phoebe.
“Hmph, Pheebs, have you already forgotten about me? How long has it been since you last came to see me?” Audrey said.
Phoebe’s tone softened. “How could I forget? I’ve been so busy with work lately. I’ll come to see you as soon as I get some free time.”

Audrey wasn’t happy with that response. “How long do you expect me to wait? You’re coming tonight. I’ll have the kitchen prepare your favorite grilled lamb chop. See you tonight.”
Before Phoebe could respond, Audrey hung up the phone.
Listening to the busy tone, Phoebe couldn’t help but shake her head. ‘Mrs. Richardson’s still so cool. But I like it, she wondered.
After work that evening, Phoebe drove to Elysian House.
Elysian House was the home that Audrey had designed with her late husband, Paden Richardson.
Even though Paden had passed away many years ago, Audrey still refused to move in with Matthew and Serene. She wanted to keep the memories of Paden alive until the day she left this world.
Elysian House was built halfway up a mountain. To construct it, Paden had bought the entire mountain.
When Phoebe’s car arrived at the base of the mountain, she noticed the neat rows of trees lining the road, their leaves already beginning to turn yellow. It was a pity that it was nighttime, as it would have been a beautiful sight during the day.
Ten minutes later, Phoebe arrived at the gates of Elysian House, where a servant immediately came to open the door.
She parked the car inside the courtyard and, as soon as she got out, saw Declan standing not far away on the veranda, admiring the flowers.
Since their last unpleasant encounter under the Miracle Youth building, this was the first time they had seen each other.
