Chapter 113
“Okay, I have packed my stuff, and we can go right after I grab my luggage,” said Phoebe.
“Alright.”
Then, they returned to Phoebe’s villa. The nanny, Maggie Jones, saw Phoebe and stopped the chores to walk to her. “Ms. Greene, a friend of yours came to look for you. I told him you were at the police station,” said Maggie.
Phoebe nodded and said, “Got it. Maggie, I have to go on a trip, probably for a week. Please tell Mr. Richardson about it when he comes back, okay?” said Phoebe.
Maggie looked confused and asked, “Why don’t you tell him in person, Ms. Greene? He is your husband, right?”
Remaining silent for a few seconds, Phoebe said, “He must be busy dealing with his work now. I don’t want to disturb him. Plus, I have to fly for seven or eight hours and probably can’t call him when he gets off work.”
“Oh, okay,” said Maggie.
But the confusion in her heart didn’t disperse. Still, Maggie refrained from prying into her employer’s privacy for the sake of this job.
In the evening, Declan came back home but found no trace of Phoebe. He couldn’t help but call her with a frown.
However, after several calls, he still couldn’t get through. Putting down his phone, Declan looked very displeased.
While serving dinner, Maggie walked to Declan and organized her words before telling him, “Mr. Richardson, Ms. Greene asked me to inform you that she was going on a trip for about a week.”
Declan seemed more pissed off after hearing that as he asked with clenched teeth, “When did she say that to you?”
Meanwhile, he pondered, ‘Well done, Phoebe, well done! How dare you use Maggie as a messenger to avoid telling it to me directly!‘
Maggie was freaked out by his gloomy face and staggered terrifiedly, “S–She told me around three in the afternoon.
“She came back to take her luggage and said she might not be able to call you on the plane when you get off work… So, she asked me to tell you about this…” she added.
Declan turned furious as it was obviously an excuse.
She had never been so caring for him before, after all.
Furiously, in silence for a while, Declan said coldly, “Got it. You can go now.”
“Okay, Mr. Richardson.”
Watching Maggie leave the villa, Declan called Patrick.
“Check where Phoebe is flying to and whether she goes there with anyone else,” said Declan.
Soon, he got a reply from Patrick.
Patrick: [Ms. Greene booked a ticket to Luminis with a guy named Yann, the heir to the White family, a renowned medical giant in Roseberg.]
Declan couldn’t help wondering with a frown how they knew each other.

Besides, Luminis was a small town near the southwestern border of this country, and Ploche had never been there, which made her sudden trip more dubious.
Declan used to regard Phoebe as a blank paper that he could see through.
However, now he felt there was always a vile between them. All his attempts to tear down the vile made Phoebe more blurred in his eyes.
Declan: [Get a guy guarding at the airport in Luminis. I want every detail of what they do after deplaning.)
Patrick: [Yes, Mr. Richardson.]
One o’clock in the morning, Phoebe’s plane landed in Luminis.
Phoebe and Yann got off the plane and got into the off–road vehicle that came to pick them up.
Opening her phone, Phoebe was surprised to find no missing calls or messages.
She pressed her lips and put her phone screen down on her purse and couldn’t help frowning.
She didn’t know what she was expecting.
To suppress the oddness in her heart, Phoebe shook her head and looked at the scenery flashing backwards.
She hadn’t been back for three years.
Suddenly, the driver in the front seat said with a frown, “We got a tail.”
