Just when Phoebe felt like she was running out of strength, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her arm. She looked down and saw a needle stuck in her arm. Her eyes flashed coldly, and she reached out and yanked it out.
However, half of the syringe had already been injected into her body. With the last of her strength, she pushed the remaining half into the man’s body, then collapsed to the ground, completely drained.
When Declan arrived with his men, what he saw was Phoebe lying on the ground, covered in blood.
His pupils contracted sharply, and his voice turned cold and menacing. “Take them all in
Felix saw Phoebe fall, but before he could feel any relief, a group of well–dressed men appeared out of nowhere and quickly subdued all his men.
He saw the figure sitting in a wheelchair, and a flash of fear crossed his eyes. “Mr. Richardson, how did you get here?”
Declan didn’t even glance at him. With Patrick’s help, he carefully lifted Phoebe into his arms. “Call the doctor.
As Declan looked at the injuries on Phoebe’s body and the slap marks on her face, a storm of fury rose in his eyes.
He coldly turned his gaze to Felix, his eyes seemingly capable of killing him with just a glance. The marks on her face? Did you do that?”
Felix, facing Declan’s icy stare, dared not admit it. He quickly shook his head. “No, no, it wasn’t me.”
Declan’s lips curled into a cold smile. “I gave you a chance. Since you refuse to tell the truth, your tongue will be of no use
anymore.”
As soon as his words fell, one of his men walked over to Felix, grabbing his chin and slicing it with a knife.
Felix screamed in agony, blood pouring from his mouth, unable to make a sound except for gurgling, unable to speak a word.
Terror filled his eyes as he knelt down, begging for mercy, but Declan simply turned his
“Mr. Richardson, what should we do with these people?” Patrick asked.
Declan replied, “Let them pay for her suffering, a hundredfold, a thousandfold.”
“And what about Mr. Moore?” Patrick asked.
Declan’s voice was cold. “Chop him up and feed him to the dogs.”
gaze away indifferently.

Phoebe woke up two days later.
When she realized she was in a bedroom in a villa, she understood that the image of Declan she had seen before she lost consciousness was not an illusion. He had saved her.
Phoebe bit her lip, her emotions complicated.
She wanted to distance herself from Declan, but now she owed him her life.
Just as Phoebe was feeling uneasy, the door to the bedroom opened.
Declan, holding soup, wheeled himself slowly toward Phoebe.

Declan stopped at the bedside and handed her the soup. “Drink this first. The medicine Felix gave you was very strong, it drained your body, so you’ll need some time to recover.”
“Thank you.” She took the soup, lowered her head, and drank slowly.
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
When Phoebe finished the soup, Declan spoke up, his voice as calm as ever. “It’s too dangerous for you to live alone. It would be better for you to move back in.”
Phoebe remained silent for a few seconds, then looked up at Declan. “No need. This was an accident, and once we divorce, I will need to live alone anyway.”
Declan frowned, a trace of displeasure flashing in his eyes. “Move back in now, and we’ll talk about the divorce later.” His tone was firm, leaving no room for Phoebe to refuse.
