Freya looked timidly at Yana, her voice wavering. “Mom…”

“Freya,” Yana said, “the company is yours now. Do whatever you think is best. I won’t blame you even if it fails. Just one rule. Never drag the company’s name through the mud.”

Freya nodded earnestly. “It won’t happen again, Mom. I promise.”

After a whole day of constant worry, Yana finally let herself relax, only to be completely overwhelmed by exhaustion.

Freya walked behind her and began massaging her shoulders.

Yana sighed, “You’ve had a long day too. Go get some rest.”

Freya nodded. “It’s okay, Mom.”

Skylar walked in from outside, carrying Adam in her arms. “Hey, Mom, Dad,” she called as she headed upstairs when her eyes inadvertently met Freya’s.

Skylar smirked contemptuously.

Freya lost control and dug her fingers in too hard.

Yana winced.
