She thought angrily, ‘What’s Skylar’s deal with CG.Gems? No way that design is CG.Gems’s new collection.”

Every single incident piled up, and every time Freya thought about them, it felt like another bomb went off inside her, making the pain almost unbearable.

Freya called Skylar, her voice shaking with anger. “Are you satisfied now? The whole internet is tearing me apart. This must be exactly what you wanted, right?”

“Quite pleased, actually,” Skylar said coolly.

Freya demanded, “Are you a designer at CG Gems?”

“No,” Skylar replied curtly. Not ready to reveal her identity yet, she denied it right away.

Freya snapped, “Then how did you get your hands on CG Gems’s latest design drafts?”

Skylar said, “She’s a close friend of mine. I know a thing or two about design, so I helped review the drafts. Is that a problem?”

Freya’s eyes were bloodshot. She snapped, “Did you show me those designs on purpose?”

Skylar retorted sarcastically, “Don’t pin this on me. I had no idea you were so fascinated with the junk in my room.”

Freya’s eyes blazed with fury. “Skylar!”

Skylar quickly pulled the phone away from her ear as Freya’s shouting nearly burst her eardrums. “Freya, if you have time to argue with me, maybe you should focus on cleaning up this mess instead.”
