Charlotte and William watched as Sky began to cry. Their eyes reddened as well, especially Charlotte, who couldn't help but shed tears with him.

William gently patted her shoulder. "Sky is home now. That alone is a good thing. Even if he's still on parole, it's better than being in prison. Sky, this time you must live your life properly. Don't let down your sister's efforts and the help she gave you."

Sky nodded. "Father, Mother, I understand."

"Go take a shower and change. I already asked the kitchen to prepare dinner. Your sister and Marcus won't be back so soon. Timothy and Mason are with them. So tonight, Lincoln and Hector will be coming home. Our whole family will gather for your welcome dinner," Charlotte said, wiping her tears.

"Yes, Mother."

Returning to his family home, Sky was overwhelmed with emotion. He had never expected Natalie to be the one behind his release.

Compared to her generosity, everything he had done to her in the past seemed small-minded and shameful. He felt deeply guilty. He didn't even know how he could make it up to her or thank her properly.

William walked over and gave his shoulder a firm pat. "Sky, try not to overthink it. You're free now. Just live your life well."

"Yes, I understand. Thank you, Father." After a short pause, he spoke again. "Father, Emma is dead. I went to see her once. After I left, she took her own life."

William froze. His expression darkened. "Sky, from this day forward, I don't want you mentioning that name or that person in this house ever again.

"She already ruined your life once. She hurt Natalie, and she was ruthless to Ms. Sinclair. Even if she dies a thousand times, it would never make up for what she did to her. She brought this upon herself. No one else is to blame."

His tone grew colder, and his gaze toward Sky also hardened. "If you are still thinking about Emma, I suggest you move out and live elsewhere."

"I'm not. I promise, Father. I won't ever do anything that would hurt Nat or this family again. I've finally understood just how wrong I was." Sky quickly assured him.

"Then see that you remember it. And one more thing. You hurt Ms. Sinclair. Now that you're out, you need to prepare yourself and apologize to her in person."

"Yes, Father, "Sky replied respectfully. "I'll go get cleaned up now."

"Good. Give your old clothes to Gorge. He'll have them burned."

"Yes, Father."

Sky turned and slowly walked up the stairs, returning to his old bedroom.

Everything inside was just as he had left it, spotless and orderly, as if someone had been cleaning every day.

He walked to his nightstand. The surface was now bare. The photo that used to sit there was gone.

It had been a picture of him and Emma. He didn't care that it was gone. Even if it were still there, he would have thrown it away himself.

Sky went to the closet to get a fresh change of clothes, then stepped into the bathroom.

Water poured from the shower as he stood under the spray, still feeling like everything was surreal.

Once he had showered and changed, he dried his hair and stepped onto the balcony to look down at the courtyard.

Back when Natalie hadn't yet returned to the family, Emma used to play in the yard all the time. Whenever she saw him, she would wave both hands in the air and call him with that sweet voice.
