The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus) novel Chapter 705

"Maggie, use your phone to call her! No matter what excuse or reason you have to come up with, you must get Sierra to come here," Samuel hissed through gritted teeth.

Despite having money and people to take care of him, something just didn't feel right.

When he and Sierra had been in Amberton, staying with Jonathan and Melissa, life had been perfect. They had all been so happy together.

Jonathan and Melissa would've given Sierra the best of everything, even treating him with immense care and affection.

But now, Sierra wanted a divorce, and Jonathan and Melissa had withdrawn all their affection for him as well. How could people be so cold and calculating?

Had everything he did for Sierra during their years abroad together been in vain?

They had been married for so many years, yet now, when he was injured, not only did Sierra not care for him, but she wasn't even there by his side.

Samuel just couldn't get past this emotionally. He couldn't understand it. It was too much for him to accept.

"Maggie, why are you just standing there? Hurry up and make the call!" Samuel snapped again, growing more impatient when he saw Maggie hesitate.

Maggie realized she had no choice. She reluctantly pulled out her phone and dialed Sierra's number. From the first day she became a maid, Samuel had given her Sierra's contact info, ordering Maggie to call her whenever he needed.

After Maggie introduced herself and explained the situation, Sierra's response was polite and patient. She explained things to her in a calm tone before hanging up.

Maggie had called Sierra several times on Samuel's request. Every time, Sierra was kind and never made things difficult for her, but she never once agreed to Samuel's demands.

Sierra hadn't blocked her number, which Maggie took as a sign of her good manners and kindness.

She couldn't help but wonder why Sierra would marry someone as hot-tempered as Samuel.

Maggie could only vent her frustrations internally. She dared not say anything aloud. Samuel was her boss, and she had no choice but to follow his orders.

After Maggie called, it was a long while before someone picked up.

When Sierra answered, Maggie immediately apologized. "Ms. Remington, I'm sorry for calling again, but I had no choice. Mr. Sinclair is throwing a fit at home and insists I call you. If you could, please be kind and bring a few bodyguards with you to check on Mr. Sinclair."

Maggie lowered her voice, making sure Samuel couldn't hear her.

There was silence on the other end for a long time before Sierra sighed softly. "Maggie, I don't want to make things difficult for you, but please don't make things difficult for me either, okay?

"Tell Samuel that if wants anything other than a divorce, she shouldn't call me again. There's nothing left to say between us, and I don't want to see him. He doesn't want to see me either."
