The Deadly Assassin Robin novel Chapter 1411

"Drakebane! I know where your father is!"

Caym screamed in desperation, his voice hoarse with terror. "Spare me, and I'll tell you everything—everything about what happened at Dragon Manor all those years ago!"

Robin halted the dagger and planted his boot on Caym's withered chest. "Talk. What happened at Dragon Manor 20 years ago?"

Caym pleaded, "Mr. Ramsey, if you promise not to kill me, I—I'll tell you."

Crack! Robin stomped hard, breaking seven of Caym's ribs. "You think you're in any position to bargain with me? Speak. Now."

The searing pain stripped Caym of all illusions. He understood now—he was facing a merciless force. He had no more cards to play.

"Okay, okay! I'll talk!" Caym lowered his head in submission. "Fifty years ago, word reached us from Snow Valley in Earthend—Lord Lightborn had resurfaced. The High Pontiff ordered me to investigate. When I arrived, Snow Valley was caught in a brutal war. Your grandfather was there too."

"The battle devastated our forces. The warriors of Netheris suffered immense losses, and we were forced into hiding. Dragon Lord was gravely wounded.

"When we returned to Netheris Island, we received word—an ancient relic was in the Dragon Lord's possession! I sent people to infiltrate Draconia from all directions, but the relic's whereabouts remained unknown."

"So ... I staged a trap in Earthend. I released bait—rumors about the relic—to lure Earthend's strongest into attacking Dragon Manor."

At this point, Caym paused and suddenly pointed at Kage. "It was all his doing! He was the one who ordered me to do this.

"Mr. Drakebane, even the scheme to bribe the Shaw siblings and lure Ms. Dunn to Netheris Island so her soul could be taken—that was his idea too! I was just following orders.

"Kage feared his grip on power was slipping. Unless Lord Lightborn was eliminated and the dagger recovered, he couldn't rest easy on the throne of Netheris. He ordered me to destroy Earthend, no matter the cost!"

"So tens of thousands of followers infiltrated Earthend. Kage wanted to turn the whole world into Netheris territory."

"You traitor!" Kage roared, his palm bursting with peak saintforce power as he struck at Caym.

Boom! Robin met the strike with a single punch, sending Kage flying over 300 feet.

"Keep talking!" Robin snarled, stomping down and shattering Caym's arms. "Where are my grandfather and father?!"

Caym gasped in agony. "Twenty years ago, after the Qacalisle Summit, the Curnow couple revealed secrets of the Netheris Domain. Your father rushed back to Draconia to report it.

"The leaders of Draconia held a secret emergency meeting with the top brass from Autreynia, Tanqueria, and Mecria.

"Your grandfather, escorted by Shadow—his elite bodyguard—used Autreynia's most advanced tech to infiltrate Sergio's lab. They vanished after that.

"Your father, following Sergio's clues, entered Dragon Ridge Valley and passed into Netheris.

"There was a fierce battle. Netheris lost 99% of its top fighters.

"To regain control, the High Pontiff took descendants of the Seaborns as hostages and forced Varryn's father to strike down your grandfather and cast him into the Wraithvale."

Robin's eyes burned with fury. He stomped on Caym's throat. "And then what?!"

"Varryn's father jumped into the chasm too. No one knows what became of them. They may have already been lost to the endless cycle of the Hell Realms."

Crack! Robin crushed Caym's neck beneath his heel.

He then seized the dagger and tore Caym's body apart, extracting his soul, draining his bones and blood.

Atop the mountain, all was cold and still. No wind, no dust—only a suffocating silence thick with blood and dread.
