Hayden stood frozen as Robin approached him, his mind in turmoil.
A suffocating weight of helplessness caused him to stammer, "Wh-what do you want? Autreynia's dominance on the world stage is unchallenged. You—"
Without warning, Robin grabbed Hayden by the collar and lifted him off the ground.
"Do you really think you deserve that power?
"You talk endlessly about freedom and human rights, yet hide behind these lofty ideas while you force your way across the globe, plundering and imposing tyranny.
"You're nothing but a bunch of hypocritical politicians!"
With a deafening crash, Robin threw Hayden across the room, sending him slamming into the wall of the conference hall.
"You demon!" Hayden screamed, his voice filled with rage.
"You think I don't know about the conspiracy behind the Grimvarn Isle negotiations?" Robin snapped, casually wiping his hands with a towel he'd taken from a nearby server.
"Shepherd and the 20 top families have given you massive profits, hoping to use their warships and cannons to force me into submission.
"Do you really think that'll work?!"
Blood trickled from the corner of Hayden's mouth as he spoke, his body trembling. "Divine Drakebane ... y-you'll regret this. The Seventeen-Nation United Fleet is heading to Grimvarn Isle.
"Our military bases in Novaros and other areas are ready to launch a devastating strike at any moment.
"Our side demands that you cease your retaliation against the Panacea Ocean Warriors Alliance, surrender the super weapon system, and hand over the dragon-slaying dagger, the Golden Dragon pendant ... "
"Wow! You've got quite the imagination!" Robin chuckled darkly.
He kneeled down, wiping the blood from Hayden's face with the towel, each motion slow and deliberate. "Is everyone in Autreynia's security department delusional?
"Your side's demands?" Robin scoffed. "They mean nothing to me!
"The oval bronze jewelry box and the Emberleaf Fans are right here—come on, try grabbing it from me!"
A sharp crack rang through the room.
Robin raised the towel and slapped Hayden across the face. "A bunch of bandits. Who gave you the audacity to act so brazenly in front of me?"
At that moment, Simmond approached Robin quickly, his face tense. "Mr. Ramsey, may I speak with you privately for a moment?" he asked in a low voice.
Robin glanced at him and nodded, stepping aside to the edge of the hall.
"Mr. Ramsey, our Secret Intelligence Division has intercepted some crucial information about Joanna and Ms. Eira," Simmond said quietly.
Robin froze, a dreadful feeling taking over him.
The look of concern in Simmond's eyes told him all he needed to know.
Meanwhile, information from the Dark Web Intelligence System began streaming into Robin's private phone.
Joanna and Eira had been abducted by Autreynia's Special Security Personnel while on their way back to their homeland from Mecria University.
The entire plane was now being escorted to Autreynia's Whorton Airport.
Jethro rushed over to Robin.
"Mr. Ramsey, we've just learned that Autreynia has arrested Joanna and Eira. They've even declared a global manhunt for you.
"They've accused you, Joanna, and Ms. Eira of violent crimes and plan to try the case at Whorton High Court, broadcasting it live worldwide.
"They've also invited chief justices and top lawyers from around the globe to observe the trial.
"They demand that you immediately surrender the super weapon system, the ancient relic, and the Golden Dragon pendant ... "
