The Deadly Assassin Robin novel Chapter 1280

Shepherd had been silent throughout the entire meeting, never once participating in the exchange between Robin and the others.

Finally, when the discussion reached an impasse, he exchanged glances with the leaders of two influential families seated at the table, rising slowly from his chair.

"Everyone, let's calm down. The reason we've all gathered here today is to reach an agreement without any conflict.

"Divine Drakebane, your missiles have already obliterated all of Novaros' ships and personnel. If you continue down this path, you'll put yourselves at the center of international scrutiny.

"Such actions could cost you many opportunities—both economically and in terms of foreign investments ... "

"Really?" Robin turned his attention to Shepherd. "Has your boss forgotten that threatening me has serious consequences?"

Everyone in the room turned their gaze to Shepherd in shock.

Did Robin just suggest that Shepherd is an imposter?

"Y-you're talking nonsense!" Shepherd, along with the other two family heads, was visibly stunned. They hadn't expected Divine Drakebane to uncover the deception.

Robin glanced at the clock and pointed toward Shepherd. "We'll deal with you later. It's already a lost cause.

"The Panacea Ocean Warriors Alliance isn't something that can be negotiated with."

With only one minute remaining until the attack on Novaros was scheduled, Robin no longer paid attention to the ongoing conversation.

He picked up the satellite phone. "Lussen, listen up. Take out all military bases and ammunition depots in Novaros.

"Start the attack in ten seconds."

"Will do, Divine Drakebane!" Lussen responded immediately.

The screen in the conference room switched, displaying the Beast fleet and the skies above Novaros.

In an instant, a massive explosion lit up the screen.

Everyone in the room gasped in surprise.

No one had expected Robin to order the attack a full minute ahead of schedule.

The Novaros diplomatic attaché, momentarily stunned, then shouted, "Why did you attack before the scheduled time? You're breaking your word!"

"I don't think I need to explain myself to you." Robin chuckled.

"Besides, the Beast is just a business mercenary group I casually brought under my wing.

"The attack by the Beast is purely my own whim, unrelated to my country. How could that be considered breaking my word?"

Morgan, now nearly frantic, rushed toward Robin, shouting, "Wh-why did you order the attack on us?"

Robin picked up a napkin from the table and slapped it across Morgan's face.

With a sharp smack, he said, "Idiot. Everyone knows not to question my actions. If I want to punch you, I'll punch you. Are you going to take me to some international court or something?

"Go ahead. Let them come and arbitrate. Try it.

"Just remember, in ten seconds, you won't be attacked by a small business fleet like Beast. You'll be hit by Jack's four winter drill fleets."

Morgan, finally resigned, contacted their higher-ups.

Instantly, Novaros went live to announce to the world that their previous actions had been nothing but a desperate attempt to extort Draconia, a nation that had helped them countless times.

They begged for Draconia's forgiveness for their disgraceful behavior and vowed never to engage in such actions again.

They further promised to deliver all reparations to Draconia's leadership within ten days and humbly asked for pardon.
