The Deadly Assassin Robin novel Chapter 1257

Robin, Maverick, and the other two weaved through the rain of gunfire, never once letting Snivy out of their sights.

At that moment, Jethro had already arrived at the edge of international waters aboard a Coast Guard's Dominion warship.

From a distance, he anxiously watched Maverick and Robin's team chasing Snivy amidst the brutal artillery fire from the Panacea Warriors Alliance Fleet.

If they couldn't stop the fleet's bombardment soon, Robin, Maverick, and the others would likely die right there in international waters.

From the Coast Guard ship, Jethro shouted toward the Panacea Warriors Alliance Fleet, informing them that they were pursuing a Dark Syndicate spy and demanding they cease fire immediately.

However, his words had no effect.

Giovanni had already received intelligence that there was no large fleet accompanying Jethro.

There were only two search-and-rescue vessels from the eastern Coast Guard in the area.

He told Lussen to ignore the threats.

Jethro watched as Maverick and the others dodged through the firestorm and realized how brutal reality was.

He was powerless, unsupported, and enraged beyond words.

He wanted nothing more than to personally pilot the warship into battle and fight alongside his son!

Meanwhile, the Panacea Warriors Alliance Fleet continued to rain fire on Robin's group.

Working with unspoken coordination, Maverick and Robin circled wide, moving to flank Snivy from both sides.

Explosions thundered across the surface of the sea, waves soaring into the sky.

Robin, Maverick, Elliot, and Brendon maneuvered their jet ski through the chaos, weaving left and right to avoid the shelling.

At last, they broke through the barrage and closed in on Snivy's flanks.

Just as Robin was about to draw his dragon dagger and strike, Maverick rammed his jet ski forward without hesitation.

A thunderous blast echoed through the air as a shell struck Maverick's jet ski dead-on.

Robin, Elliot, and Brendon watched in horror as Maverick was blown into the sea.

In that instant, all fell eerily silent on the ocean except for the distant roar of artillery.

Robin leaped from his jet ski like a cannonball and landed squarely on Snivy's craft. In one swift motion, he grabbed Snivy by the throat.

"Elliot! Brendon! Get Maverick back to the eastern waters!"

Robin's voice roared across the sea as he looked at the bloodied and broken figure of Maverick floating in the water.

He was determined to take Snivy and drag him aboard the command ship of the Panacea Ocean Warriors Alliance.

Right there, on their own deck, he would livestream the execution of Snivy and Giovanni.

Aboard the Dominion warship, Jethro watched helplessly as his son was blown into the sea.

Darkness clouded his vision and his body swayed violently.

"No! Maverick!" Jethro screamed and hurled the communication device he'd been using to reach the command center onto the control console with a crash.

Meanwhile, Elliot and Brendon charged into the hail of gunfire and dragged Maverick's mangled body onto their jet ski.

Both men let out an agonized scream at Maverick who was barely clinging to life.

However, they didn't turn back toward the Draconia coast.

They followed Robin, full speed ahead, racing straight for Beast Fleet, the command ship of the Panacea Ocean Warriors Alliance.

Jack and Franco watched it all from a distance and locked eyes.

Silently, they removed their battle armor and laid it neatly in the cockpit. Then, they saluted it solemnly.

"Hahaha! Our juniors have real guts," Jack said with a bitter smile. "If we old dogs don't step up now, we should be ashamed of ourselves.

"I put on this armor all those years ago just for a moment like this—to live like a man who stands tall and proud!" Franco added, voice filled with emotion.

"But ... sigh.

"Jack, we've been swallowing our pride for years.

"A man must have an unyielding spirit. How can we live under the gaze of others with our heads bowed in disgrace?

"My heart is already dead. All that's left is fury."
