Chapter 361

After being kidnapped by St. Gabriel Reform Academy, Emily was surrounded by bodyguards, both visible and hidden. Her car was also under heavy surveillance.

Although Isolde was skilled and was Sean’s right-hand woman, it was nearly impossible for her to sneak into Emily’s car unnoticed under such intense monitoring.

The only reason she pulled it off was that Emily turned a blind eye on purpose.

Emily had already had someone look into Isolde’s background.

Isolde was abandoned by her parents, who preferred boys, in the freezing snow beneath a tree not long after she was born. It was Deborah from the orphanage who found her and gave her a name.

During Isolde’s years at the orphanage, Deborah personally took care of her. Even after the orphanage shut down, Deborah traveled from place to place with Isolde and raised Isolde herself.

Deborah and Isolde were more than just sisters. They were like mother and daughter.

When Deborah was sent to St. Gabriel Reform Academy by her employer, Isolde looked for her both openly and secretly and even made a move against Sean. But in the end, when Sean offered her 300 thousand dollars, Isolde chose to give up the search.

Over the years, Isolde got promoted step by step, eventually becoming Sean’s top aide. She looked like someone blinded by money, ungrateful and only out for herself.

But Emily didn’t believe that a girl raised by Deborah could be that kind of person. So, when she found out Isolde was approaching her car with some plan, Emily told her people to let Isolde through.

Emily thought Isolde was up to something with her car, but unexpectedly, Isolde stayed hidden inside after sneaking into it.

It wasn’t until Emily got off work and sat in the car that Isolde, who had been lying in wait in the back seat, suddenly revealed herself. Isolde held a knife to Emily’s throat and demanded, “How do you know Deborah?”

Isolde had been dying to ask this question ever since Emily confronted Sean last time, but she held it in until now.

Emily didn’t show a hint of panic when Isolde suddenly popped out. Instead, Emily asked back, “So, you’re here for Deborah? But didn’t you say you didn’t owe her anything?”

Isolde pressed the knife closer. The cold pressure against Emily’s neck forced her to instinctively tilt her chin up.
