Not Ready For My Mate novel Chapter 65

I use to have friends in this pack, family, love, I use to have it all, that was until Mom and Dad died. They all began to hate me afterwards because they're beloved Beta died.

No one knows what happened to them, they both went for a walk one day but never came back. We searched for days, weeks; until we came across their bodies. We found them in no mans land, mutilated.

I shake my head quickly from those memories. Not wanting to remember how they looked. Alpha brought their bodies back and we held a proper funeral. Believe it or not at that time people still liked me, they comforted me after everything, this is until a week later when suddenly they all turned cold. I don't know what I did for everyone to hate me.

As I'm lost in my thoughts I accidentally bump into a firm, muscled chest. I bite my lip as I know who it already is. I slowly look up, as I do I see the built body, the well defined muscles. His shirt clings to him like a second skin. I don't even notice that I'm looking into his glaring grey eyes. Eyes filled with hatred. Thats all thats there, thats all that will ever be there.

I look down but roll my eyes so he can't see. "Hello Alpha Beau." I greet him, still being respectful even though all I want to do is bash his head on the wall. He's of course the soon to be Alpha, his father doesn't believe he's ready for the title just yet and frankly I concur.

I look up but am met with a slap to my face. I clutch my cheek as I control my tears to not fall. I take a deep breath in and look up at him.

As I look at him I see regret flash through his eyes, I know it hurts him, he was my best friend after all. He was the last person I had who I could call family. Then he changed along with everyone else. "Excuse me Alpha but I must start cleaning the house." He doesn't reply, only grunts and shoves past me.

His bigger stature towers over my short one, causing me to fall over. I yelp as I land on my wrist, again.

He suddenly stops and turns to face me again. He bends down and has a sinister smirk on his face. "Oh yeah, my bedroom needs new sheets." He winks then casually walks away, leaving me on the floor.

No one is allowed in his room unless invited, or for my case, new sheets. I instantly know his reason for new sheets. I stand up and walk to the supply closet and grab all the items I need.

I walk to the living room and sigh as I see the mess left behind from the party.

I must have been up here to long 'cause next thing I know I'm laying on the ground, clutching my side where I was hit. I look up and see a scowl on Beau's face. "I just wanted sheets not for you to touch my stuff."

"You still have it." I say looking down not meeting his gaze. He looks at me questioningly before sneering at me again. "What are you talking about?"

While he was bending over I saw it, the necklace I bought him for his 16 birthday, the day he was supposed to find his mate. "The necklace."

He looks down and notices it hanging out of his shirt. "Get out." Is his only reply before he stomps into the bathroom, leaving me laying on the ground. I stand up immediately and walk out of his room.

I go down to my bedroom, well more like shack. Alpha believed that I didn't deserve to live in the pack house.
