Not Ready For My Mate novel Chapter 64

"I'm so glad you're with us my boy." Then he leaves.

We sigh and rub our head already feeling a headache coming on. So Father rejected Mother but Mother still forgave Father? Couldn't he have simply said that? Would have been much simpler.

We stood up and began to pack away clothes for our trip. We didn't start with a lot of clothes but we were literally dragged to the mall so they could buy us clothing and other necessities.

After the packing is done our stomach decides to makes its presence known. We walk down to the kitchen and immediately dig in the fridge. Just as we close the door a body is hurdle towards us. We drop the cupcake we got and backflip, jumping onto the counter. We immediately get into attack position and bare our teeth at the direction the body came from.

"Could you quit doing that you big loaf!" The body yells while groaning. We look down and see its Uncle Jordan. We watch him stand up and look at the new person who entered the kitchen. Uncle Scott.

"What? Its hilarious to see you fly like a rag doll." He says chuckling. "Sorry about that Theo. How did you dodge Jordan by the way?" He asks as he picks the cupcake off the floor and puts it in a weird looking trash can.

"Oh shit Scott you should have seen it! He literally did a blackflip onto the counter!" Uncle Jordan yells excitedly like a little kid. We jump off the counter but still say nothing, examining them. "Did you do gymnastics when you were younger?" Uncle Scott asks us.

"Yeah I did 6 years of it." We lie to them. They believe and just look at us. Next thing we know Jordan is flying again. "Scott stop doing this!" We hear Uncle Jordan yell. Uncle Scott says goodbye and goes to his brother.

We shake our head at the two and check the time. We've still got about 20 minutes left. We grab another cupcake and quickly eat it. We go upstairs to grab our bags and head downstairs again. Someone takes our bags for us while telling us that our parents are waiting in the car.

We immediately climb into the car and we start our trip. "Isn't Callie coming with?" We ask them since she's not in the car. "No she still has school." At the mention of school my mood dampens. People say they'll never miss school ever again but I do. I miss the classes, the people. I miss everything about it. Gage isn't a fan of school at all.

"Do you think I could attend school here?" We ask them, Gage knows how much I liked it so he allows me to go. "Oh yes we need to put you in your last year of high school. You can start when we get back from our trip." Mother says looking back at us. She turns around and we can't help but smile. I'm finally going back to school, a normal teenage life.

I got the reaction I feared the most.

"You will do as I order you piece of shit!" He yells as he slams his hands on the table. I flinch when I hear the table crack. Oh dear this was the third one this month, he really liked this one.

I saw him look down at his table then his gaze snapped back to me. "Y-Yes A-Alpha I'll get r-right to it." I continue to stutter as I see him approach me. I pray to the Moon Goddess that he won't hurt me, that would be the fourth time today.

Instead he sighs and looks down at my shaking form, probably seeing how similar I look compared to my father. Him and Dad were the best of friends. The day he died was the day Alpha went crazy. They were like brothers.

"Get out." He says barely above a whisper but I hear him loud and clear, I run out of the office down to the kitchen. As I run down I see all of the glares thrown my way, they all wish I was gone.
