We don't know how someone could be so cruel to their mates, to anyone for that matter. Matthew explained further that the reason for the mark only being on our body now was because we made contact with our Father.
After our encounter with her we went back to the house. We talked to everyone for a bit before making our way to our room. We haven't been out of it since. Mother and Father comes in here at times, usually bringing me food or making us go shower.
"Gage? Are you okay?" I ask him trying to get some conversation out of him. He may be in control of our body but he still is the wolf. Not having a mate effects him more than it does me. "I don't want to talk." He says whimpering while trying to shut me out. I sigh in our head but decide its best not to pester.
We hear the door opening slowly. We look over and see its Father with Mother. They both have soft smiles on their faces. We try to smile, trying for them, but it probably just comes out as a grimace. Could they really blame us?
"Son we were thinking maybe you'd like to come with us to a pack we need to have a meeting with? It could be good for you. Please Theo we can't just sit here and watch you like this. Please its only for a couple days." Father says as he and Mother sit down next to us. We look up and see sadness written all over their faces.
"Lets just do it Theo." Gage sighs out shocking me since he hasn't spoken since we started to hibernate in our room. "Are you sure Gage?" I ask him wanting to know he's completely fine with it. It's much easier to talk to him now since he's not happy with the idea of killing of our family. "Yes Theo I'm sure."
"Okay I'll go." He says giving them a small smile. Both their faces lighten up immediately. "Oh thank you Theo! You won't regret it we promise." Mother says squealing excitedly.
Mother jumps up and immediately runs out the room. We chuckle slightly. "Mother still has her child spirit doesn't she?" We say as we watch the door she exited from. "Yes but its one of the reasons I love about her."
"I am sorry that you don't have a mate son. That doesn't mean you will never have love though. It just means you'll have to work even harder to find someone to spend the rest of your life with."
We stared up at Father, shocked. We couldn't believe that our Father had actually rejected Mother. Its just so unfathomable. The way they loved each other? We would have never guessed.
"Okay now you need to be packed to stay there for about a week. Our meetings involves looking over the pack and seeing how its doing. It was your Mothers idea. She wanted to be more close to all of the packs of the world. Luckily this one is just about a day away from us. So get packing we leave in two hours." He says standing up. He walks to the door but turns to face us and smiles.
