Married First, Loved Later : A Flash Marriage with My Ex's 'Uncle' novel Chapter 355

Chapter 355: Where’s Your Apology?

Angelica’s face went pale in an instant.

She had no idea Wilson had done something like that! It’s just that Selina had always acted so arrogant—assuming Selina was the problem seemed perfectly reasonable!

But with so many people watching, Angelica had no choice but to swallow her pride and apologize. "Selina, I was misled by Manager Wilson. If I had known he was involved in the explosion, I never would’ve spoken on his behalf."

Selina gave a cool, amused smile. "That’s strange. You were at the hospital when Jaxon had surgery. Even your nurse knew Wilson was behind the explosion—but you didn’t? That’s... surprising."

"You—" Angelica’s face froze. "It’s because I’m pregnant... I only cared about my baby. I wasn’t in the mood to listen to gossip."

"If you’re so focused on the baby," Selina asked slowly, "then what are you doing here, looking for me?"

Good question. Angelica claimed she cared only for the baby, so why come looking for Selina, the wife? To provoke her? Wasn’t she afraid something might happen to her child?

Her excuse made no sense—it was clearly made up.

"I... I..." Angelica broke into a cold sweat, and then tears welled in her eyes. "Selina, I came to apologize. Please don’t always assume the worst of me. It’s fine. If you don’t want to see me, I’ll go..."

She clutched her belly and began walking out, every step slow and strained like a delicate flower struggling against the wind—pure, helpless resilience.

Selina let out a snort.

Just then—

"Miss Morris," Logan’s voice broke the silence.

Everyone looked up in shock. Wait—was Mr. Reid trying to stop Angelica?

Angelica’s heart leapt. She knew it. Logan wouldn’t be that cold. She was his so-called "savior," carrying his child. After everything Selina just said, he must be feeling sorry for her!

Angelica turned back, her tone soft and fragile. "Logan, don’t worry about it. Don’t argue because of me. Selina doesn’t like—"

"Weren’t you here to apologize?" Logan interrupted blandly, his voice carrying through the room. "Where’s the apology?"

Silence.

Angelica’s expression froze, the color draining from her face. She choked on her own words. "I... I..."

Apologize? What was he saying?! She wasn’t actually here to apologize!

"Is Angelica unwilling?" Selina smiled suddenly, then lowered her head, voice laced with disappointment.

"Forget it. Let’s not force her."

"Even though Angelica clung to Logan at the hospital, tried to stop Jaxon’s surgery; even though she pushed me to the ground and teamed up with Wilson to target me, I’m sure she didn’t mean any harm. She’s the kindest person I know. Logan, I don’t want her apology anymore—otherwise her fans will just accuse me of bullying her."

Angelica’s face contorted in fury. Selina, that fake! Who did she think she was fooling with that innocent act? It was clearly sarcasm!

But somehow, after Selina’s words, the people around them all seemed to suddenly "get it."

"She’s right. Angelica has the Morris and Reid families behind her, plus all those fans. Even if it’s her fault, people will just say Mrs. Reid is being unreasonable."

"Isn’t that what they always say? ’Angelica already apologized—what more do you want?’ Her fans are like a broken record."

"She hasn’t even apologized yet and already she’s acting like the victim. Imagine what’ll happen if she actually does apologize—would the Morris family go after Mrs. Reid next?"

"If she didn’t want to apologize, why bother with this whole show?"

"You blind? There are reporters outside. She’s clearly trying to build her image."

Angelica’s face grew darker, her whole body trembling as tears streamed down her face like a tragic heroine in a soap opera.

"Selina! It’s not like that, I really wanted to apologize—I’m sorry, truly sorry! Please don’t think that way, it hurts so much..."
