"Selina... Selina?!"
Angelica cried through gritted teeth, "How would I know where Selina is?"
"Logan!" Joe couldn’t sit still anymore. "This has to be some kind of misunderstanding. Put the gun down!"
"There’s no misunderstanding."
Logan’s expression didn’t change. Without even blinking, he pulled the trigger—
"Angelica!"
The bullet hit the wall just behind Angelica, grazing her.
"Ah!" Angelica shrieked in terror, collapsing to the floor.
"Logan!" Joe rushed forward, furious. "Are you insane? She’s your savior! You want her dead?!"
"You’re right, Chairman Morris."
Logan’s eyes were cold and filled with murderous rage. He raised the gun again.
"Angelica, you know perfectly well whether or not you ever saved me. But letting you die like this—" He sneered, "That’s too easy. I’ll ask one more time. Where is Selina?"
Angelica was panicked, sobbing uncontrollably. "Logan, I really don’t know what you’re talking about..."
Joe pulled Angelica behind him and shouted, "If you’ve got a problem, take it out on me! Selina’s dead! And you’re going after Angelica for a corpse?!"
"Selina broke Angelica’s arm—she deserved to die! If you don’t care about my daughter, fine. But taking the killer’s side? Logan, are you even human anymore?!"
"You can forget it. I’ll never tell you where Selina is!"
Logan had no interest in explaining anything to idiots. He reloaded calmly, still aiming at Angelica.
"Not talking? Fine. Angelica, tell everyone exactly how your arm got broken. I’ll count to three. If you’re still lying, I pull the trigger."
Angelica’s face was streaked with tears. "Logan, don’t do this! Selina was jealous, that’s why she broke my arm—"
"Three."
Logan began the countdown.
Grandpa Reid was enraged. "You ungrateful brat! Selina deserved to die! And now you point a gun at us for her?!"
"Two."
Joe’s face turned dark. "You’re going to go up against the entire Morris Family?!"
He shielded Angelica with his whole body. He couldn’t understand—so what if a bastard died?
In Joe’s world, people were born into different ranks. His daughter with Victoria was a princess. If Selina died for Angelica, that was only natural. Why couldn’t Logan see that?
Angelica kept sobbing, "Please, don’t... I don’t know, I don’t know...!"
"One."
The countdown hit zero. Bang!
Logan fired without hesitation—straight into Angelica’s wrist. Blood sprayed instantly.
Everyone was stunned. Logan had actually pulled the trigger...
"Aaah! AAAAAHHH!" Angelica screamed in agony.
Grandpa Reid roared, "Logan!"
"You’ve still got one more hand. Are you sure you don’t want to talk?" Logan asked, emotionless.
Angelica was nearly fainting. "Why... why would you hurt me for Selina... I saved you, didn’t I... why..."
Grandpa Reid and Joe tried to call in the guards, only to discover—horrified—that the entire Reid estate was under Logan’s control.
Grandma Morris shrieked, "Enough! Over a bastard like her, you want both families to go down? That’s enough!"
"Whether Selina’s a bastard or not, you know the answer, Mrs. Morris," Logan said icily. "Just because I’m not wasting time exposing you doesn’t mean I won’t. Got it?"
Grandma Morris flinched, lips trembling, but didn’t dare speak again.
Joe was confused, about to protest, when Jack coldly cut him off:
"Old Master, I suggest you tell Mr. Reid exactly where you’re keeping Mrs. Reid. Or are you ready to have the entire Reid Family buried for Angelica?"
"Buried?!" Grandpa Reid choked on his breath. "He wouldn’t dare!"
"You raised him. You know him best," Jack said flatly. "You tell me—would he dare?"
