Wolfless, Unbroken Abandoned novel Chapter 17

hapter 17

“Alpha Thane, I forgot to mention–she’s a werewolf too, an Alpha,” Preston said with a cold edge.

“How? I don’t smell any wolf from her,” Thane muttered, approaching Georgia to sniff.

Her heart hammered in her chest. If Preston discovered her lost wolf, the punishments would escalate.

Preston himself frowned. He sensed no wolf aura on Georgia, and she hadn’t shifted despite the provocation.

“Maybe you’re too close. Her wolf is ignoring you,” Preston suggested with a shrug.

Without warning, Thane sprang forward, claws slashing toward Georgia.

She froze, fear draining the color from her face.

She couldn’t run–only limped backward a few shaky steps.

Too slow.

Thane’s claws caught the hem of her dress, dragging her down.

She fell hard.

His massive body pressed over hers, claws gripping her shoulders.

His muzzle hovered near her face, breath hot and ragged,

Laughter erupted around them at her humiliation.

But Thane wasn’t finished.

Baring sharp fangs, he snarled, “Alpha Preston said you’re a werewolf. You don’t need that costume. Shift.”

“I don’t dare,” Georgia’s voice trembled.

“Don’t dare?” Thane mocked, pride dripping from his tone. “You look terrified. Not a werewolf–more like a dog.”

The crowd jeered, fueling the insult.

Preston’s brow furrowed. Georgia was the daughter of the Silver Stream Pack’s Alpha, bloodline strong and proud.

Faced with threats, an Alpha’s power should ignite.

But she remained still

Thane released her and swaggered aside, head held high, sneering, “If you’re a dog, why not learn to bark?”

A Shadow Eclipse member tossed a wad of cash to the floor in front of Georgia.

“Alpha Thane wants you to bark. Do it, and the money’s yours,” he taunted.

Georgia’s eyes flicked to the bills scattered across the floor.

Preston’s frown deepened as he watched her hesitation.

“Come on. Bark!” Thane urged, voice sharp.

Swallowing her shame, Georgia parted her lips and let out a shaky bark.

“Pick it up! Don’t want it?” Thane challenged.
