Georgia’s lips curved into a quiet, lifeless smile. She had been right all along. Giselle was never as innocent as everyone believed. The realization settled deep in her chest like a rusted dagger, twisted with bitter finality. There was no longer any point in defending herself to people who had already chosen their villain.
All these years, Giselle had lied with ease, weaving stories that turned Georgia into a monster. Georgia never bothered to explain herself. She had trusted Giselle too deeply to question her. That was her mistake. Giselle took advantage of her silence, let the lies bloom, let them grow teeth that tore Georgia’s life apart.
Lennox’s snarl cut through her thoughts. His eyes burned with uncontained rage as he stared down at her trembling smile. “Why are you smiling?” he spat. “What the fuck is so funny, Georgia? Are you happy now that Giselle is dead? You think you’ve won, don’t you? You’re so shameless! Stop smiling! STOP SMILING!”
He couldn’t stand it–her smile that held neither warmth nor fear. It unnerved him more than any scream could have.
Slowly, Georgia lifted her head to look at him. Her gaze was vacant, detached, and her lips curled into that eerie, haunted smile. The room seemed to darken around her, as if her grief and quiet hatred were swallowing the air itself.
Finally, her cracked voice cut through the silence, hoarse and low. “Thank you, Lennox,” she rasped. “I mean it.”
Her words sent a ripple of confusion across his furious face.
Inside, her thoughts burned with blistering clarity. “Thank you for smashing my illusions. Thank you for forcing me to face the darkest truth I’ve always suspected about her. I never did what you’re accusing me of. Your rage is so genuine, it only proves one thing–that Giselle lied to you too.”
“Back then, everything pointed to me her last calls, her final texts. I never doubted her, never imagined she would set me up. But now. Now I see everything for what it was. Thank you, Lennox. Thank you for finally tearing away the last pieces. of hope.”
But to everyone watching, her words sounde Chapter Unlocked, Enjoy Reading! titude as provocation.
A snarl ripped through Lennox’s chest. His hand shot out, fingers twisting into her hair, yanking her head back with a savage jerk that sent burning pain searing down her neck. He shoved a bottle of whiskey against her trembling lips.
“You wanna thank me?” he spat, his breath hot and foul on her cheek. “Then drink. Finish the bottle, and I’ll have every photo and video deleted right now. That’s fair, isn’t it? You forced Giselle to down a bottle of whiskey back then. I’m just returning the favor. Drink it, and I swear I’ll never lay a finger on you again.”
His feral eyes glimmered with triumph as he shook the bottle, sloshing the golden liquor inches from her nose. “Yeah? Yes or no? ANSWER MET
Georgia lowered her gaze to the whiskey, staring at the amber liquid swirling in the glass. Its sharp scent burned her nostrils and churned her empty stomach.
Charlotte let out a muffled sob. Her mouth was still gagged, her eyes wide with horror as she shook her head desperately. Her chains rattled with every useless struggle.
Georgia’s voice came out soft and rough, barely above a whisper. “I didn’t do it. And I won’t drink.”
A hush fell over the room. Her quiet defiance pulsed like a war–drum in her chest.
She lifted her chin slightly, ignoring the pain in her scalp where Lennox’s grip tightened. “I can kneel,” she rasped, her throat raw and aching. “I can crawl on glass. I can sing until my voice tears. I can drown myself in a water tank and come back gasping for air. But drinking I won’t do it.”
Her eyes flickered with a fleeting spark of will. “The owner of Vetro Club promised me I wouldn’t have to drink.”
Lennox’s expression twisted with disgusted amusement. “Miss Cooper, do you still think you have a choice?” He laughed coldly. “You’re not the Alpha’s precious daughter anymore. You’re just a call girl now. That’s all you are.”
He pulled out his phone and held it up so she could see the bright screen. A video of her humiliating crawl played on loop, silent but deafening. “Once I press this button, everyone will see you for what you are. My Twitter feed is ready. Are you sure you don’t want to drink?”

His voice turned sharp with menace. “You know exactly who follows me, Georgia,”
A violent shiver tore through her chest. Her heart clenched so hard it felt like it would shatter into bone dust.
Charlotte’s muffled screams tore at the air as she lunged forward, but the enforcer’s grip on her arms was iron–clad. Weston turned his cold gaze on Charlotte and smirked, his tone dripping with derision. “Charlotte, don’t take it personally. This has nothing to do with you. Stay out of it.”
Without waiting for a response, Preston spun on his heel and strode toward the elevator. Lorenzo blinked, startled by his Alpha’s sudden fury. He snapped into mation, linking minds with the guards instantly as he followed.
“Alpha Preston, what happened?” he asked in a hushed voice as they rode the elevator. Preston didn’t reply. His cold and distant, like a hawk closing in on its prey.
