His Unwanted Mate novel Chapter 10

"Dylan?" I said sleepily. He looked down at me, seeing that I was awake.

"Hmm?" He responded.

"I hope that you find your mate really soon," I said, yawning. I was falling asleep again. The last thing I heard before falling completely asleep was Dylan's voice.

"Yeah, me too."

"Eden! Eden! Wake up! Santa came and we have to go open presents!" I opened my eyes to see Sapphire jumping up and down on my bed in her Christmas pajamas. I rubbed my eyes, looking over at my clock to see what time it was. It was 5a.m.! I groaned, laying back down.

"Do you always wake up this early on Christmas?" I asked, laughing. Sapphire giggled, nodding.

"Yes, now come on!" She said excitedly as they dragged me out of bed. I looked down at myself, and noticed I was still in the clothes I had on yesterday. Then I remembered Dylan carrying me up the stairs. I'll have to thank him later. When Sapphire dragged me out into the hall, I looked and saw the Jade was doing the same to Kylie. She was rubbing her eyes and yawning as she walked out of her room.

"I don't even understand how they can be up this early," Kylie said when she saw me. We both followed the twins downstairs.

"I know! I'm never up this early," I said, pouting. Kylie and I both laughed as we entered the family room where a sleepy Dylan was laying on the couch. The twins jumped on him.

"Wake up! You can't go to sleep! We have to open presents!" They yelled in unison. Dylan's eyes flew open before he rubbed them.

"I'm not sleeping, I was just resting my eyes," Dylan said, yawning. The twins rolled their eyes.

"Whatever, let's open presents!" Jade said excitedly, and Sapphire nodded in agreement as they both went to the tree and picked out all the gifts that had their names on it. Kylie had gotten them cute dresses and skirts, Dylan had got them some stuffed animals, and I had gotten them each a necklace, one with a sapphire crystal and the other with a jade stone. They went and gave us all hugs.

"Thank you!" They both said, making us all laugh.

"You're welcome," we all said. Everyone else opened their gifts, and I opened mine last.

"I love it! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I squealed. I ran and gave them hugs again. "You guys didn't have to get me a car," I said, after pulling away from them.

"We wanted to. Plus, you're seventeen right now and you're almost eighteen, and you don't have a car," Kylie said, making us all laugh.

"Well, thank you guys so much. This has been the best Christmas I've had in a long time," I said. They smiled at me and gave me a hug again.

"You're welcome. We're really glad that you stayed with us, you've been an amazing addition to our pack, and once we make it official, it'll be even better," Dylan said. I smiled, nodding my head.

After everyone that was up finished opening gifts, we all headed upstairs to get some more sleep. It was still really early. After a couple of hours, Kylie came into my room and woke me up.

"You need to get ready, you, me, Dylan, and the twins are all coming to my house for Christmas dinner," Kylie said. I nodded, yawning, before I headed towards the bathroom. I took a quick shower before walking into my closet. I decided to wear a red lace bodycon dress that ended mid-thigh. I slipped on a pair of black strappy heels before sitting down at my vanity. I quickly blow dried my hair before curling it. I applied some mascara, natural colored shimmery eyeshadow, and lipgloss before putting on the bracelet Dylan gave me. I exited my room when I was pleased with how I looked.
