His Unwanted Mate novel Chapter 11

"You look amazing!" Kylie exclaimed.

"Thanks, so do you!" I said back. Kylie was wearing a white strapless dress with a chiffon skirt that ended mid-thigh. Her normally curly blonde hair was straight and she had applied some sparkly eyeshadow and mascara. She also had on a pair of nude heels. We both headed downstairs and saw Dylan waiting for us. He was in a pair of nice jeans and a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His hair had that messy look and he had on a pair of dress shoes. The twins looked adorable. Sapphire was wearing a long sleeved blue dress with white stockings and Mary Jane shoes and Jade was wearing the same thing except her dress was green. Both their hair was left down.

"You guys both look great, ready to go?" He asked, and Kylie and I nodded. We all headed out and into Dylan's car. I sat in the front with Dylan and Kylie and the twins sat in the back. We got to Kylie's house quickly and we all hopped out of the car. Since it was Kylie's house, she just opened the front door and Dylan and I followed her inside. We walked into the kitchen and saw Kylie's mom cooking.

"Hey mom, need any help?" Kylie asked. Her mom looked up and smiled warmly at us. She gave all of us hugs before speaking.

"Ya, if you and Eden could help me finish cooking, that would be great. Dylan, you and the twins can go sit in the living room with Kylie's dad," she said. Dylan left as Kylie and I both put on aprons. Her mom had already made most of the food, she was just finishing the desserts. All Kylie and I had to do was decorate a cake. It was a white cake with strawberries and cream layers. We talked as we finished cooking. The finished product of our cake was pretty good. We had frosted it with white buttercream frosting and piped blue swirls around it.

After we finished everything, Kylie's mom called everyone into the dining room. We placed all the food in the center of the table and sat down. Kylie's dad was at the head of the table, Kylie's mom was to his right, Kylie was across from her, I was next to Kylie, Dylan was across from me, and the twins sat next to Dylan.

"Everyone, dig in!" Kylie's mom said and we all grabbed the food and placed them on our plates.

I grabbed my black North Face jacket before heading out of my room. Kylie was downstairs with coffee for both of us. I grabbed one before speaking.

"Thanks, can we use my new car?" I asked excitedly. Kylie laughed, nodding. We went to my car and I hopped into the driver's seat. Kylie told me where we were going, and I've lived here long enough to know where to go. I pulled out of the driveway and headed to the stores.

The drive wasn't very long, and I was soon finding a parking spot. We hopped out and headed towards the stores to find each of us a dress for the New Years party. We entered one of the dress boutiques and were immediately greeted by a sales lady. She looked to be in her mid thirties.
