"Ahh, it's the little nerdy runt of the pack. Sweetie, just because you went and got a makeover doesn't mean you look good or that Leo would ever want you," she sneered at me.
"Listen here, bitch, I'm sure as hell not the runt of this pack, I could beat your ass easily," I stated confidently. Shock flashed through her eyes before she quickly covered it. She definitely wasn't expecting me to say anything back. She snorted and laughed.
"Yeah, right. Your so weak, you'd never be able to beat me," she stated. I rolled my eyes and chuckled.
"Wanna bet?" I challenged. She seemed to deliberate what to do before speaking.
"Yeah, why not? Then everyone can see how easily it'll be to beat your ass," she smirked. I laughed shrugging my shoulders before letting go of Leo's hand. We made eye contact, and I saw worry in them. I smiled at him, reassuring him that I'd be fine. He sighed, moving away from me.
By now, a small crowd had formed around Selene and I. We circled each other, and I analyzed her, looking for her weaknesses. No one knew that while I was gone I had been training every day to get stronger so that I wasn't weak anymore. She had poor form and it would be easy to dodge her attacks. She made the first attack, her fist aiming for my face, but I quickly caught it, twisted her wrist, and flung it back to her side. She cried out in pain as she staggered backwards, clutching her wrist. Her eyes glared at me and she lunged at me again, but it merely sidestepped her and kicked her back, making her fall to her knees.
She got up and turned to me, lunging at me again. This time, I punched her square in the face and I heard a crack, knowing that I just broke her nose. Blood gushed from her nose as she screamed in pain.
Leo came over to me, smiling down at me. He pulled me into a hug, and I let him, wrapping my arms around his waist. Little sparks ran up and down my body as his lips brushed against my cheek.
"You're amazing," he whispered. I giggled, smiling up at him.
"Thanks," I said. I hadn't noticed that Selene had got up, and she yanked me back, away from Leo. He growled at her.
"Don't fucking touch your Luna ever again," he growled. Everyone seemed to freeze. No one spoke, everyone was speechless. Selene's eyes widened in shock.
"Bullshit," she finally whispered, "there's no way that she's your mate."
"I know, it's because I forgive you," I said. His eyes widened in shock.
"Are you serious?" He asked, and I nodded, smiling. He grinned, wrapped his hands around my waist, and lifted me up so that I was now sitting on his lap. He wrapped his arms tightly around my waist and tucking his nose in my neck, breathing in my scent. I wrapped my arms around his neck and softly ran my fingers through his soft hair. He placed little kisses up my neck before kissing my lips softly. Sparks ran through my body wherever his lips touched my skin. I kissed him back softly.
I pulled away and rested my forehead against his. He smiled at me as he gazed into my eyes.
"Thank you," he whispered. I frowned, confused.
"For what?" I asked.
"For forgiving me," he said, smiling. I smiled back before pecking his lips. The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch. Leo groaned, which made me laugh. I got off of his lap and we walked hand in hand to our next class. The entire time we walked, Leo gently rubbed his thumb over the back of my hand. The small gesture made me feel all happy inside.
