The twins look up at me from their game of Hello Kitty Monopoly and smile. Complete relief floods my body as I take in their scents. I don’t think it’s creepy anymore. The other moms assured me it wasn’t.
“We didn’t fight,” the two of them say as I walk into the panic room to crouch in front of them.
“Good, I’m very proud of you.” I pat their heads.
“You shouldn’t. We fought over the Hello Kitty crown,” Aizen looks genuinely ashamed. “We also lied.”
“Apologize and hug,” I stand. They get up and do as I ask, and I let out a heavy sigh to keep myself from laughing at how cutely he folded. I didn’t even say anything. “Come on. We have some cleaning up to do.”
“Is everything okay?” Aizen holds up his hand for me to take.
I put the weapons away and made sure the room was organized, but there’s no doubt in my mind that the kids will be hyped when they get back to school. They’ll know what happened soon enough. I think I’m coming to terms with the idea of them knowing that things are never going to be what they used to be before we all became werewolves.
“Oh, no,” Ayrie cries out when she sees some of the pack members wounded.
Mr. Knightly stops me before I can get to her. She runs up to one of the hunters who was shot. He stares at her as she frantically looks around until she sees one of the omegas with towels. She takes one from her and brings it back to him.
“It’s okay,” he tries to stop her.
“Shh,” she places her hand over his eyes. “I help.”
She places the towel over his wound and presses her hand over it. Her eyes glow silver, and the hunter groans. When she pulls away, she lifts the towel to show him. He stares at the towel and then at my daughter.
“Thank you,” he says softly.
“You welcome. I’ll go get Mary for the bleedings,” She pats his head and hands him the towel.
I look down at the towel to see two bullets sitting there. He looks up at me and bows before lying back, relieved. The silver is out, and now he can heal properly.
“How did you know she could do that?” I ask Mr. Knightly.
“I didn’t, but you have to let them show us what they can do. That’s why Nathan is as deadly as he is. He also has a healing affinity. It’s why he touches you so much, why he worries about everything. It works on others and himself. Just let her show them. She’ll be fine,” he rubs my back. “You did phenomenally tonight, Little Mortal. You made my training proud.”
“You have to stop calling me that,” I roll my eyes.
“I will. Once you drop the Mr. Knightly, bullshit,” he smirks and follows behind Ayrie.
“Thank you, Mr. Knightly,” I call after him. “You’re a great teacher.”
I reach for my phone and dial for Violetta.
You call me more than anyone else I know,” she answers on the second ring.
“I’m sorry. Are you busy?”
“Never busy for you, Alpha Rizen. What can I help you with? My wolves are behaving themselves, I hope,” she says playfully.

Chapter 183
“They are. And it’s more what I can do for you.” I admit.
“Ooo, that sounds like fun. What’s going on?”
“Don’t get crazy. Promise?”
“Did something happen to Knight? Are the twins okay? Is the baby okay?” she rushes out in a single breath.
“We’re all well,” I promise, and take a seat beside the wounded hunter. “Eloise Lockwood attacked us, and I arrested her. She caused sixteen casualties, and I’m not one to sentence anyone to their death, but I do like seeing these assholes get fucked. Are you in?”
“I am not even going to pack, bitch. I’m on my way. Don’t let the King kill her before I get my company back,” she laughs. “I love so much, right now. I am literally at your command if this works. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
“I’ll see you soon,” I say with a laugh. I look down at the hunter to see him smiling. “I think she took that better than expected.”
“Me too, Alpha Rizen,” he chuckles.
My stomach clenches tightly when I see Amy and her team walk through the front door of my packhouse as if she owned the place. Her eyes land on me, and she rolls them before she tries to come further inside.
“Get the fuck out of my house,” I growl. The chatter around us all stops at once.
“Excuse me?” she scoffs.
Before I can answer, several hunters stand and growl at them.
“Did you not hear what I said?” I step up to her. Maybe it’s the adrenaline still running through me or Midnight’s influence, but a part of me wants nothing more than for her to give me a reason to rip her apart. “Get the fuck out of my house, Bitch.”
“I’m not here for you,” she meets my challenge.
My hand shoots out, but before I can get to her, someone grabs my wrist. I look up at Knight to see him shake his head.
“Get out,” he growls at her.
“My King-” she tries to argue.
“Now!” he roars. “Did you not hear what your Queen ordered?”
I smile when she shrinks away from his command. She stares at me longer than she should have and spins around to leave.
“If either of you sets foot on this territory again, you’re dead,” I growl.
She pauses for a moment, but then continues with the rest of her team following behind her. I rip my arm out of Knight’s grasp.
“Phoebe,”
“Get the hell out of my face, Nathan,” I growl at him, feeling the rage make my muscles tremble. I hear someone ask, his name
“She hasn’t done anything to you,” he says quietly
Nathan?
“No, but she’s done plenty to you.” I meet his gaze so he can try to lie to my face by denying it. He doesn’t. He just stares back at me as if I were the crazy one. “I thought so.”
