“The system needs to be rebooted for the new algorithm to work,” Perry says.
“This is going to take for fucking ever,” Roman complains. “I still have access to the old system my uncle was using. We can just change those who are deceased.”
“A lot of them joined the packs as well. Contacting them can be dangerous.” I remind him.
“It has to be a new order. With the Safehouse Act now in place, things will get easier.” Perry dismisses him.
“I think you should include the tracker in the new phones. Let everyone know it’s a precaution,” he suggests.
“Not everyone is going to be okay with that. They can’t shut it off.” Perry sighs.
“I think it’s a good idea, just not on the phones. I want to add it to the smart watches and include it in the registration packages. They wear the watches, and we know who‘ s alive. With the new hunters in place, we can have check–in points. This way, they all have a choice of using it. We definitely need to give them to the kids going into the public schools near the packlands. I have them on my pups,”
“That’s actually a good idea.” Perry agrees. “This is fucking boring. Being in charge sucks,”
“Can you put in an order for every Rogue embassy station? Fifteen thousand each. An extra ten in case they get stupid.” I roll my eyes.
“What is Phoebe doing?”
“She went back to Cali with my father. She’s going to be rebranding Royal Threads.” “A mass firing. I’ve always wanted to do that without killing anyone. I bet the stupid look on their faces is epic,” she laughs.
“Do we have anything on Alpha Rizen?” I ask. “With the press on her ass, I’m sure she’s going to try and get some answers before they start snooping around.”
“Nothing outside his current legal movements.” Roman answers. “He’s moving shit around for her and the twins. That building you found her and Arnold in, it’s hers now, along with a few other locations around the US. He’s selling and investing shit. I’m not sure what the end goal is.”
“He’s recreating Alpha Rizen’s dowry. She was worth a lot before she went missing. It’s probably why she sent Phoebe away. Everything would have been hers if she had presented her as her heir. Formal pack shit.” Violetta says. “I put in the order from my account. Those are my points, bitches.”

We all laugh.
“That makes sense. In a couple of years, Phoebs is going to be richer than you, Knight.” Perry grins.
“As long as she’s taken care of, I don’t give a fuck. Let him spend his money. He’s going to need to name an heir. I’d like for him to name my son.” I admit. “With Ayrie on the throne, he should have a spot on the council with her. It’ll make a good union for rogues and packs.”
“Look at you being a little power hungry shit. Arnold must be proud.” Vy laughs.
“You’re such a bitch.” Roman snorts.
“He’s actually been really into the Royal Threads shit. Do we have any information on any underground shit, Xo was running?” I ask.
“Cocaine,” the three of them answer.
“The good shit the Romanian Covens make,” Vy adds. “I thought you knew. Isn’t that why you want Phoebe to take it?”
“I did not know that, but it makes sense as to why my father wants a piece of it. I should tell her before she catches him doing something stupid.” my phone begins to ring. I reach for it to see that it’s the school. “Give me a sec, guys. It’s the academy.”
“Oooo,” they all instigate before I can mute them.
“Knightly,” I answer.
“Your Majesty. Forgive me for interrupting your afternoon. This is Alpha Justine Montez. The Headmistress at Redwood Academy.”
“What’s going on, Alpha Montez?” I ask.
“There has been an altercation between the prince and princess and a group of fifth graders. You’re going to have to come in, Sir. You might want to bring your lawyer,” she says that last part quietly.
“Are they okay?”
“Yes, they’re fine. I gave them a snack and they’re here with me,” she says tightly.
“Okay. I am on my way.”
“We’ll be waiting,” she says and hangs up. I look up at the monitors to see the three of them already laughing.
“I have to go,” I say, unmuting them. I’m met with more laughter.
“I can send Bermudez and Alyson.” Vy grins.
“Malcolm is outside. I got it. I’ll be back,” I say as I hang up the call and reach for my blazer.

I really hope they didn’t kill a kid. I rush down to find my security team hanging out.
“My King, are we headed out?” My head of security, Malcolm Whitmore, jumps up without hesitation.
“You still practice Rogue discrimination rights?” I ask him.
“Yes, my King. Do you need legal advice?”
“The twins do. I’m not sure what they did, but the Headmistress called. Let’s head out. You ride with me,”
“Of course,” he agrees and starts giving orders.
I prepare Phoebe’s car and wait for them to get everything together. It takes us twenty minutes to get to the school. As soon as we arrive, I’m met with patrols from three different packs. I sigh, knowing that this is going to be a mess. It’s the last thing we need, right now.
Parents and Lunas stare at me as we make our way inside. I wave my security team back, letting them know that Malcolm and I have got it. They set up a formation to escort us out when we’re done here. As soon as they see us, the office staff waves into the big study in the back.
“Daddy!” Ayrie beams as soon as she sees me. The blood drains from my body when I see her little uniform is covered in blood.
“What the hell is this?” I growl, going over to the two of them. Aizen is sitting beside her. There are bruises on his face. Phoebe is going to lose her shit.
“Your Majesty,” Alpha Montez stands immediately and bows.
“Issok. Is not my blood,” Ayrie says.
“What happened?” I demand.
“The big kids got mad because I wouldn’t give them my watch,” Aizen holds up his arm.
“I broke his nose,” Ayrie whispers. “Two of them. Like you taught me.” She swings the palm of her hand upward. “They tried to bully Icy.”
“What are you going to do about this?” I demand, looking back at the headmistress.
“I understand you’re upset,” she says calmly.
“What are you going to do about this?” I say using the same tone she just did. She goes pale. “They assaulted my two five–year–olds, and what? You expect them to pay for this because they got their ass handed to them?”
“Your daughter took on four ten–year–olds who are now hospitalized, King Knightly.”
“They assaulted her brother. Look at his face.” I growl.
“My King, I think it’s best if you let me handle this,” Malcolm says, crouching beside the

twins. “Hey, guys.”
“Mal,” Ayrie pats his head.
Malcolm hands them both suckers from inside his blazer. He gently inspects her hands and then moves over to my son, who looks rough. He stands and faces the headmistress.
