Sonia was just trying to intimidate the photographer, but to her shock, he replied without hesitation: “Fine by me.”
Sonia stared in disbelief, her lips moving as if to say something, but the photographer had already turned his attention to Ana
“Miss, this is part of your company’s business too. Why don’t you give it a try? Maybe your hoss will even give you a promotion and rate, the photographer suggested to Ana.
Ana’s mouth twitched. A promotion and raise? That wasn’t necessary.
The speaker might not have meant anything by it, but Cassian thought it wasn’t a bad idea.
Sonia looked at Ana and let out a cold laugh. “If she can pull this off, I’ll get down on my knees and apologize to her in front of everyone.”
Ana had been about to decline, but hearing Sonia’s challenge, her fighting spirit flared up.
“Alright then. Since someone’s so eager to grovel to me, it would be rude not to accept,” Ana said.
“You-” Sonia was so angry she felt like she might explode. “Anastasia, don’t think too highly of yourself. You’re nothing.”
“The photographer believes in me, so I’ll give it a shot. Unlike some people…” Ana replied coolly.
“What exactly are you trying to say?!” Sonia glared at Ana through gritted teeth, looking like she wanted to tear her apart.
Just then, Aurora intervened. “Enough! Aren’t you embarrassed enough already?”
Sonia had no defense.
She suspected the photographer was playing favorites–maybe Ana had even bribed him.
But she had no way to prove it now!
Just wait, she thought. When Ana makes a fool of herself, I’ll laugh mercilessly.
“Go change clothes,” Aurora told Sonia.
Aurora shook her head, thinking back to when she’d thought Sonia looked decent and would be a good match for Cassian. She’d even tried to set them up at first.
But now it was clear that Sonia really wasn’t suitable.
“My judgment used to be terrible,” Aurora muttered to herself.
Suddenly, a displeased voice spoke up: “And your judgment is so much better now?”
Aurora froze and turned to see Theo.
Theo was frowning at her, clearly annoyed.
Aurora snorted dismissively. “What’s wrong with you? Why are you eavesdropping on my conversation?”
Theo pulled out his phone and waved it in front of Aurora. “Look what you’ve done now. People are saying you’re a cougar preying on young men.”
Aurora paused and took Theo’s phone, her brow furrowing.
“This photo…”
“Don’t tell me you’re going to claim it’s photoshopped,” Theo said.

“It’s obviously real–why would anyone need to photoshop it? I’m just wondering why that photographer is such an idiot. Why did he make t ugly I’m gorgeous! Aurora protested.
Theo’s expression darkened even more.
“Cougar,” he said coldly.
