Chapter 294
Cassian’s phone suddenly buzzed. He spun around and headed to his desk, and when he saw it was a message from Anastasia, he couldn’t help but smile.
Anastasia: [Want to grab lunch together?]
Cassian was about to reply when something made him pause.
He held up his phone and took a photo of one of the sketches, then set it as his profile picture.
Only then did he text back: [Sure.]
Anastasia immediately noticed that Cassian had changed his profile picture!
And the picture he’d chosen was actually one of her doodles from yesterday when she was bored!
A blush crept across Anastasia’s face. She’d left in such a rush last night that she’d forgotten to cover her tracks.
She’d figured a workaholic like Cassian would be too busy to flip through random books. She never expected him to find her sketches!
“Look at that grin on Cassian’s face–he’s practically beaming! His smile’s so wide it’s gonna reach his ears!” Griffin said.
“So? What’s that supposed to prove?” Yinsen asked.
Griffin stared at Yinsen like he was an idiot. “Did you forget to take your meds again?”
Yinsen knew Griffin was just messing with him, but he wasn’t offended. He could take a joke.
That’s how their friendship worked–the closer you were, the more shit you could talk. It was the acquaintances who treated you with fake politeness.
Though Yinsen also knew when to draw the line. Some topics were off–limits.
Like with Griffin–that woman who’d disappeared was his absoluté trigger. You didn’t even mention her name unless you had
a death wish.
“Yeah, I brought them with me,” Yinsen said, pulling out a pill bottle. “Want one? I can share.”
Griffin looked at him incredulously. “Are you serious? You actually carry pills around?”
“How else am I gonna cure your stupidity?” Yinsen shot back.
“Fuck off!”
Cassian was heading for the door, his hand already on the handle, when he suddenly turned back to Griffin and Yinsen. “If you two are really this bored, maybe you should figure out how to boost your revenue instead.”
“Jesus, Cassian, you’re even greedier than I am. H–Garden’s revenue is already through the roof, Push it any higher and my

servers are gonna be running around with smoke coming out of their ears, Yinsen said.
Grimin stayed quiet–his resort business had been barely scraping by for months.
He was still waiting for his big break.
“If you’ve got time to stand around here bullshitting with me, that proves you’re not working hard enough. Tomorrow morning at seven sharp, I want to see your business proposals. And you know I don’t tolerate half–assed work.”
Are you kidding me?!”
“I should never have come here!”
Griffin and Yinsen groaned in despair.
Philips watched them silently, mentally offering a brief moment of sympathy. Rest in peace, gentlemen.
After Cassian left, Yinsen announced, “Time to break out my secret weapon!”
“What secret weapon?” Griffin asked.
“Not telling you,” Yinsen said smugly.
“Ten million. Tell me,” Griffin countered.
“Do I look that shallow to you? Money can’t buy my secrets,” Yinsen replied.
“Twenty million.”
“Money isn’t everything.”
“Eighty million!”
“I mean, who am I to turn down money?” Yinsen said, suddenly all smiles as he held out his hand. “Cash up front, no returns.”
“Yinsen, you’re really gonna use your business tactics on your own friends?” Griffin said, but he transferred the money
anyway.
