Bonded to My Ex’s Alpha Brother

Chapter 207

Erin’s POV

When I woke up in the morning, I called Derek to ask him if he had anything he wanted so I could buy it for him as a gift.

Hello?I said, confused by the unfamiliar male voice.

Erin,the voice acknowledged.

Who’s speaking?I asked, trying to place the voice.

Michael, came the reply. I recognized him now.

Is Derek there? Can I speak with him?

He’s too busy right now,Michael replied curtly. I’m with him. He’s in a meeting, and I need him at the company. Do you have a message for him?”

I bit my lip, disappointed. No, it’s fine. I’ll call him later.

I hung up, an unhappy expression settling on my face. My gaze wandered around the suite as I tried to think of something special I could do for Derek’s birthday. Suddenly, my face brightened with inspiration..

Yes, I think that’s a good idea. I can decorate this place,I decided, looking around the spacious suite with new purpose.

When the hotel employee arrived with breakfast, I saw my opportunity.

Miss, is there anything else you need?he asked as he finished setting up.

I’d appreciate it if you could recommend some stores where I can buy clothes and decorations,I said.

There’s a shopping mall about twenty minutes from here,he offered helpfully. Would you like me to arrange a car for you?

No, thank you. I’ll manage,I replied, then added, Please don’t mention to anyone that I asked about this.

Of course, miss,he nodded, understanding my desire for discretion. I wanted to surprise Derek, and that wouldn’t work if he found out about my plans.

After finishing breakfast, I left the hotel and hailed a taxi. To the shopping mall, please,I instructed the driver.

The taxi drove for about thirty minutes, but instead of arriving at a modern shopping center as I expected, we pulled up to what looked like a village market. Confused, I paid the driver and stepped out, looking around at the unfamiliar surroundings.

The market was bustling with locals selling traditional crafts and clothing. Despite not being what I’d asked for, I decided to explore, thinking I might find something unique for Derek.

Among the stalls, I spotted a beautiful handcrafted picture frame. The intricate wooden carving reminded me of the frame I’d broken the first time I met Derek in his room. It seemed fitting somehowa symbol of how far we’d come since that first meeting.

I purchased the frame and continued walking through the market, eventually realizing I had wandered too far. The stalls gave way to residential buildings, and I found myself in what appeared to be the villagersliving quarters. Reaching for my phone to call a taxi, I discovered with horror that it was goneeither lost or stolen in the crowded market.

Chapter 207

Panic began to set in as I realized I had no way to contact the hotel or Derek. The people around me didn’t seem to understand English, and I had no idea how to get back to the hotel.

My heart raced as fear took hold. I was a an Omega, alone in an unfamiliar place with no means of communication. Every worstcase scenario flashed through my mind.

As I turned a corner, I collided with someone. Looking up, I found myself face to face with a young man in his early twenties wearing an expensive suit. Despite his handsome appearance, I sensed a dark aura around him that made me step back instinctively.

Who are you?he asked, his English perfect but his tone suspicious.

I hesitated, unsure whether to reveal my identity. If he was an enemy of the Darkwood Pack, telling him I was Derek’s personal secretary could put me in danger.

You don’t need to know who I am,I replied firmly. I don’t talk to strangers.

I walked past him, but I could feel his eyes following me. Why was he looking at me like that?

Continuing on, I found myself even more lost, surrounded by singlestory houses that all looked the same. I’m lost here, soul mate,I whispered to myself, imagining I was speaking to Derek. What do I do now?

Eventually, I sat down under a tree at the edge of the village, where the houses gave way to forest. I pulled my knees to my chest, resting my head on them as tears threatened to fall.

My fears multiplied with each passing minute. As an Omega, I was vulnerable. What if Derek couldn’t find me? What if my mother had a heart attack from worrying? What if I was stuck here forever?

The sound of a car horn broke through my spiraling thoughts. I looked up to see a silver luxury car stopped nearby. Desperate for help, I approached and knocked on the window.

Excuse me? Could you please give me a ride to town?I asked hopefully.

The window rolled down, and my heart sank as I recognized the driverthe same man I’d bumped into earlier.

Get in,he said coldly.

I hesitated, but he added impatiently, Don’t waste my time.

Having no better options, I slid into the passenger seat. Thank you so much,I said gratefully.

He didn’t respond, merely putting the car in gear and driving forward. As we passed through the village, I noticed something strangethe villagers bowed their heads as the car passed, some even trembling slightly.

Is he some kind of powerful person?I wondered. Why are the villagers bowing to him?

The man glanced at me with an unreadable expression, then said something in a language I didn’t understand. Though I couldn’t comprehend his words, his tone suggested he might have thought I wasavailable for the night.

Stop,I said firmly.

Excuse me?he replied, raising an eyebrow,

You’ve misunderstood, I stated clearly. I’m not aI trailed off, embarrassed to even say the word.

Why were you following me? he asked.

Sir, I wasn’t following you. I just got lost, I explained.

Chapter 207

Lost?he repeated, seeming to accept this. Tree

I studied him from the corner of my eye. He was handsome, I had to admit, though not as striking as Denek. Soll, Chere was something abou him that commanded attentiona quality similar to what Derek possessed.

Which pack do you belong to?he suddenly asked.

The question caught me off guard. The Darkwood Pack,I answered truthfully.

His expression remained neutral, but something flickered in his eyes.

He probably doesn’t even know my pack,I thought. It’s only one of the largest wolf packs in the world.

As if reading my thoughts, a small smile played at the corners of his mouth. It seems you don’t understand where you are,he said with a hint of amusement. You know nothing about the size of packs here.

I stared at him in surprise. What did he mean? The Silverpine Pack couldn’t possibly be as large as the Darkwood Pack. But if not then, fier which pack was he referring to?

By the way,I asked, curiosity getting the better of me, who are you?
