Chapter 205
Erin’s POV
My heartbeat quickened at his dominant tone, my body heating up at the memory of our intimacy. Then realization dawned as I processed his words. Embarrassment flooded me as I covered my face with my hands.
“Ugh! How could I be so stupid?” I muttered to myself. “The Alpha is just teasing me, even after we…”
Derek watched my face for a moment before saying, “Get ready and come out. I’ll wait for you outside.” He left the room, his fingers briefly grazing my cheek in a touch that now carried new intimacy.
I quickly grabbed clothes from the closet–a V–neck dress with a black blazer and white shirt–and dressed myself. Every part of my body seemed to remember his touch. When I emerged, I found Derek already dressed in an expensive new suit.
I wondered briefly how he’d managed to shower and change so quickly, then noticed another door in the suite that must lead to the master bathroom. The privileges of being Pack Alpha, I thought, while also recalling the intimate moments we’d just shared. It was still hard to believe
that I now had such a connection with him.

“Ready?” Derek asked as we prepared to leave the hotel. He glanced at my outfit and nodded approvingly, his eyes holding a suggestion that only we understood.
As we approached the door, he leaned close to whisper, “You look more like a CEO than a secretary,” his fingers brushing against my waist, reminding me of his earlier caresses.
I nodded with a simple “Yes,” shocked by his comment but unable to change with our tight schedule. His subtle touch sent a shiver through me, though I tried to maintain a professional demeanor.
During the ride to the meeting, I noticed our driver mention Derek’s new luxury car. I marveled inwardly at the lavish lifestyle of the Pack Alpha, so different from my simple existence as an Omega.
I was acutely aware of Derek’s heat as he sat beside me, the distance between us seeming smaller than before–or perhaps I was just more sensitive to his presence now.
Upon arriving at the Silverpine Pack headquarters, we were greeted by their Beta, who escorted us to the meeting room. I noticed him giving me a second glance, and I wondered if he could detect Derek’s scent on me.
When we met Alpha Duke of the Silverpine Pack, a man of about twenty–eight, the tension between the two Alphas was palpable.
“Alpha Derek, it’s a pleasure to see you in my territory,” Duke said, shaking Derek’s hand. He frowned slightly, his gaze flickering between Derek and me as if noticing something unusual.
Hello, Alpha Duke. I’m Erin Blackwood,” I introduced myself, shaking his hand while feeling somewhat uncomfortable.
After Duke introduced the other attendees and his secretary–an attractive young female wolf–we prepared for the meeting. Like Duke’s secretary, I stood beside Derek with my tablet ready to take notes. I could feel Derek’s occasional glances, laden with our shared secret.
“Sit down, Derek suddenly commanded, turning to me.
Confused, I asked, ‘Where should i sit, Alpha?”
Derek turned to the Delta wolf sitting to his right. “Move over there. My secretary will sit next to me.” His voice carried a hint of possessiveness, emphasizing the word “my.”
The room fell silent as everyone stared at me in shock. An Omega being given such preferential treatment by the Alpha was unheard of. Some of the more perceptive wolves seemed to notice the change in our scents, exchanging meaningful glances.

The displaced Delta awkwardly stood and moved away, not daring to question the Alpha’s command.
“Sit down, Derek repeated, his voice softer but still commanding.
I hurried to take the seat, feeling the scrutinizing gazes of the other wolves.
I noticed Duke’s secretary looking at me with confusion (her Alpha hadn’t invited her to sit), but I avoided her gaze, focusing instead on the meeting. Though I tried to remain professional, I was more aware of Derek’s presence than ever before.
The meeting progressed smoothly, with Derek agreeing to Alpha Duke’s cooperation proposal and signing a business agreement between the two packs.
Throughout the session, Derek occasionally touched my hand or knee under the table, each brief contact making me both nervous and excited.
By the time we concluded, it was already noon. As we were leaving, my stomach growled audibly. I quickly covered it with my hand, feeling embarrassed. Omegas had faster metabolisms than Alphas, especially after the physical exertion of the morning.
Derek’s sharp wolf hearing caught the sound. He turned to me, asking, “What’s wrong?” When he saw my hand over my stomach, his eyes softened with a concern that hadn’t been there before our intimate connection. “You need to replenish your energy, especially after… this morning,” he added quietly.
I smiled and shook my head, my cheeks flushing at his implication. “It’s nothing, Alpha.”
“Don’t worry, we’ll head back to the hotel,” he assured me, placing his hand lightly on my waist to guide me toward the exit. “We’ll have lunch there.”
My eyes brightened with relief. “Okay, thank you.”
Back in the suite, I quickly slipped off my high heels and collapsed onto the sofa, closing my eyes as I finally relaxed. My body still ached pleasantly from our morning activities.
“The meeting’s over, what a relief!” I murmured to myself, adding softly, “Today has been… quite a day.”
Derek observed me for a moment before approaching the sofa and sitting beside me–closer than he would have before.
