Chapter 5
The first time I met Ben was at my company.
At that time, I was working as an intern to gain experience at the grassroots level.
Back then, I was inconspicuous and mediocre, just an unnoticed little transparent in the company.
Ben was also an intern, and he came in with me at the same time.
He wasn’t very smart and even seemed a bit dull.
But he grew up in the countryside since childhood, accustomed to hardship, and developed a diligent quality. He was the most hardworking intern in the company, working tirelessly all day without any slack in his work.
Whenever, I could always see him sitting in front of the computer, working attentively.
I was impressed by his perseverance.
Originally, he had not achieved any results and was facing dismissal. Under my secret manipulation, he was promoted in
advance.
That day he was very happy; his whole person radiated brilliance and became energetic.
After being promoted, he devoted himself more diligently to his work.
I admired his strong determination and refusal to give up him.
So, I gradually became acquainted with him.
After getting to know him, I realized that this seemingly dull and silent man could speak eloquently.
He often made me laugh out loud.
I always felt relaxed and comfortable when I was with him.
Even when we looked at each other in silence, his presence could still make me feel at ease.
However, we crossed the boundaries of friendship when it all started with a heroic act of saving a damsel in distress.
It was one night after my mother passed away, and I was alone in a bar drowning my sorrows in alcohol.
After drinking in the bar, I encountered a few drunken men who had had too much to drink. They surrounded me and harassed me.
I was extremely panicked and helpless at that time, and it was then that Ben appeared before me as if he were a god descending from heaven.
Although he ended up being beaten up by a few drunkards, I managed to turn the danger into safety.
That was the first time I fell in love, for this man who was willing to sacrifice everything for me.
During the few days I spent accompanying Ben in the hospital to recover from his injury, I couldn’t help but confess my

feelings to him.
He accepted me willingly.
We started dating like this.
During the period of dating, I always interacted with him as an ordinary person.
I ate street food with him, walked on the street, strolled in the park, occasionally watched movies, and played at the
amusement park.
The days were simple and joyful.
Later, I took Ben home to meet my parents.
The moment Ben found out that I was the daughter of the richest person, he appeared nervous and reserved.
My father knew that he came from a rural background, and he did not look down on him.
I don’t care about social status, because no matter how wealthy they are, they can’t be wealthier than my family.
He had only one request.
That is, the other party must marry into the family.
Because I was his only daughter, he didn’t want me to marry into another family.
I thought Ben would hesitate, be indecisive, or even refuse.
Because his family only had him as a son.
And marrying into another family, to some extent, is somewhat undignified for men.
But unexpectedly, Ben nodded without hesitation.
He even expressed on the spot that he would wholeheartedly treat me well in the future and love only me.
To demonstrate loyalty, Ben deliberately signed a prenuptial agreement with me on that day.
He was guaranteed to be kicked out if he engaged in any misconduct after marriage.
