Chapter 7
I slid past him and walked straight into the living room. Amidst the exclamations of my friends, I smashed the television with a hammer.
Someone wanted to stop me.
Steve muttered, “Let her smash!”
“You all leave, my business with her has nothing to do with you!” The room was in a mess, only Steve and I
were left.
He spoke, “Have you had enough? If you haven’t vented enough, you can continue smashing!”
“Take it off.”
“What?”
“The clothes you are wearing, I bought them, take them off!”
Steve remained silent for a long time, letting out a cold laugh.
He took off his shirt with one hand and kicked off his pants.
“Are you satisfied?”
didn’t say anything and went straight to the bedroom.
When I dragged my suitcase out, there was a strong smell of smoke outside.
Steve has changed his clothes.
He leaned against the wall, holding a cigarette.
As I walked past him, he grabbed my wrist.
“What else do you want?”
I looked at him. “Our business is finished, and there is no connection anymore!”
Steve’s hand suddenly tightened, causing me pain.
“Josie, you’ve done enough. You’ve destroyed our home and ruined my reputation. What else are you not
satisfied with?”
I chuckled.
“This question should be asked to you. You have been finding fault enough, and now that I am voluntarily
stepping back, what else are you unsatisfied with?”
“I didn’t!”
Steve gritted his teeth and spoke through clenched jaws, word by word.

I broke free from his hand and pointed to the location of his heart.
“Ask yourself, come on. Don’t be such a coward, isn’t it just falling in love with someone else? You don’t even
dare to admit it?”
After completely breaking up with Steve, I went on a trip with a group to another place to gather inspiration.
At first, my mood was not as calm as I appeared.
During the day, I could talk and laugh with people.
When the night grew late and quiet, tears would always flow.
would steve
I couldn’t help but recall every little detail about Steve and Vivian, as well as my memories of them.
Steve was quite attractive.
He looked good, coupled with that rascal-like appearance.
Always boldly approached and flirted.
Steve would always casually block them back.
Over the years, Steve and I have had many arguments about various things, but we have never had a romantic relationship.
Inever thought he would like someone else.
Even when he was being critical of me in various ways, I never thought it was because he had fallen for someone else.
So gentle, so obedient. Completely different from the dominance and tyranny in front of me.
Was that what he looked like when he liked someone?
What do my nine years count for?
Did he never really like me?
The emotional turmoil caused me sleepless nights and restless meals.
Just the thought of him comparing me to Vivian and feeling like I couldn’t measure up made me suffocate.
After another sleepless night, I left the hotel and went to a bar, ready to get drunk.
I hadn’t even reached the bar when someone stopped me on the way.
They were drunk, staggering towards me.
