You're Not My Mate novel Chapter 41

"Kinky." I muttered. He just chuckled.

"Can I show you something?" He asked. I raised and eyebrow at him with a snicker.he just rolled his eyes at my dirty thoughts.

"In your dreams Vi."

"How'd you know?!" I gasped sarcastically. He just laughed.

"But yeah you can show me. What is it?"

"It's something weird our magic does. Give me your hand." He said reaching his hand out palm up so I could lay my hand in him. I was a bit hesitant about letting him touch me but I ultimately placed my hand in him.

"Okay, now calm down, relax, and let go of anything that restrains your magic. I'll do the same." I do as I'm told and completely relax letting my magic fully run through me, my skin starts to glow a bright red, he does the same and our magic glowed dimly other than our hands that are touching they glowed bright magenta. I stared in awe.

"Cool right?" I only nod as a response. I was completely awestruck by a simple magic reaction. Everytime I let my magic course through me and touch someone with it they always die, or blow up. Logan looked distant for a couple minutes, I guessed he was talking with Victor. He rubbed the back of his neck.

"What did Victor say?" I ask. Logan just looked at me, not answering.

"Logan. What did he say?" I said more sternly. Logan just smirked.

"Do you feel it? A slight pull between us?" He asked. I was silent for a few minutes. I did feel like I wanted to be around him, and I am comfortable when he was around, but I just assumed that was because he had saved me from Okalen. Well to an extent he saved me.

"A very small one, but yes I do. Why?" I ask him.

'Violet. You aren't that naive? Right?' Destiny whined at me.

"Wow you just did a hole 360 in your attitude. Going from 'I don't like when others hurt you.' all the way to how you like to see people suffer and feel pain." He just rolls his eyes.

"Just go to sleep, it's getting late." He tells me. I agree and get under the covers, snuggling into them, my back was turned to Logan and I was facing the door. Logan turned to his side laying next to me above the covers, he wrapped one of his arms around me and pulled me closer to him. As we relaxed and we were about to fall asleep our magic began to react again. I was so transfixed on it I didn't hear the commotion outside or the door being knocked on but, my attention was brought to it when the door opened revealing one of my guards, and an angry Alex. I immediately sit up, grabbing my knife from under my pillow, my body was still glowing with bright red magic.

"Princess. This mut says he needs to speak with you. Also he says he's your mate. I thought you didn't have one." The guard spoke.

"He's not allowed down here, but let him in. Also as far as I'm concerned he's not my mate." I growled out, the guard bowed, shoved Alex in and closed the door. By now Logan was sitting up, his body had stopped glowing making it almost impossible to see him. I stormed up to Alex as I got my magic under control. I grabbed Alex my the neck and pinned him to the wall.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" I yelled at him.

"What am I doing here? What the are you doing getting all cozy with the guy who hurt you?! Simon told me about everything, what information you gave them, and how you acted when you got back!" He yelled back. I brought back my fist and punched him five times in the gut before my hand was grabbed, a arms wrapped around my torso, and I was pulled back. I struggled to get to Alex so I could beat him more. The room was illuminated with a bright blue glow and I felt a breath on my ear.
