At the airport, a cab rolled to a stop at the entrance. The door swung open, and a small figure hopped out. He quickly reached back to grab his skateboard and placed it down at his feet.
As the cab pulled away, only the boy's slender silhouette stood against the busy airport scene.
At just seven years old, Lincoln Terzian was notably tall for a Cholonese child, nearly matching the height of a young woman. His short, neatly styled hair was held back by a headband, adding to his youthful charm.
With delicate eyebrows and expressive almond-shaped eyes, he radiated a captivating presence, and his fair, glowing skin drew the attention of everyone around him.
Gliding into the terminal on his skateboard, Lincoln confidently snagged his ticket, ready to head to security. Suddenly, his smartwatch buzzed with an incoming notification.
He raised an eyebrow and slipped on his Bluetooth earbuds. As soon as he pressed the answer button, Helen's frustrated voice came through.
"Lincoln, you need to come back. I told you it's not time to go home yet!"
With a sigh, Lincoln replied, "Mommy, I figured it out. The man at home isn't really our dad, is he?"
"Who told you that?" Helen responded, not bothering to deny it.
"I figured it out on my own! He always treats us like guests, and a real dad wouldn't do that. I'm going back to find my real father!" Lincoln declared.
Before Helen could reply, he said, "Oh no, Mommy, I don't have time to waste—I have to catch my flight! Please take care of Nana, okay? Bye-bye!"
With that, he hung up and sprinted toward the boarding line. Scanning the area, he spotted a young woman standing alone. His large eyes sparkled with curiosity as he approached her.
The woman glanced around before noticing him, a hint of surprise in her voice. "Are you looking at me, little one?"
"I'll take care of it right away," Seymour replied with a respectful nod before hurrying off to the study.
Just as he walked away, a little girl in a dress appeared, her shiny shoes clicking on the floor. Without hesitation, she ran into Helen's arms.
"Mommy, Mommy! Is it true what Linc said? Are we really going to see Daddy?"
The girl looked like a miniature version of Helen, especially with her striking eyes. Her round, chubby face was so adorable it made anyone want to pinch her cheeks.
Helen took her small hand and asked gently, "Nana, don't you like your current daddy?"
"I do," Sienna Terzian answered quickly, but then a frown appeared on her face. "But it's not the same as how I feel about you, Mommy. If you asked me who I like more, I'd definitely say you. My friends seem to love their Mommy and Daddy the same, but I feel a bit different…"
