Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1475

Indeed, such brazen contempt was nothing short of a slap in Charles' face. His expression shifted dramatically, frustration etched across his features.

Sensing the mounting tension, Kendrick wisely opted to remain silent and stepped back discreetly.

After a long pause, Chandler's steady voice broke the charged atmosphere. "If someone like her manages to join the Jewelers' Association, you're definitely in for quite the headache, Mr. Calloway.

"I've said all I need to say. C&S Signature Jewels has no intention of provoking conflict, but if others insist on a fight, we can only respond in kind. I hope you understand, Mr. Calloway.

"I have matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave. Thank you for your hospitality today. I'll host a banquet to express my gratitude in the future."

As Charles watched Chandler step outside, his expression grew increasingly contemplative.

One was a madwoman; the other, a promising entrepreneur. It was obvious which side he should choose.

The sound of an ambulance outside startled the Lopez family's butler. He hurried to the door, expecting to greet the arrivals. To his surprise, he saw Miguel jumping out of the vehicle, bare-chested and brimming with energy.

"Mr. Lopez? Why did you come back in an ambulance?" the butler asked.

"Don't say a word!" Miguel snapped, his voice sharp with rage.

With that, he brushed past the butler and stormed into the house. Grabbing a bottle of whiskey, he collapsed onto the couch, taking long swigs to numb his frustration.

He believed that drowning himself in alcohol would fix everything. If he passed out tonight and woke up tomorrow, it would be as if nothing had ever happened. He would still be the heir of the Lopez family—who would dare to speak ill of him?

"This is bad, Mr. Lopez!" a housekeeper suddenly exclaimed, rushing down the stairs in a panic.

"What's all this commotion?" Miguel snapped, irritation thick in his voice. "Why are you so flustered? Is the sky about to fall or something?"

Feeling aggrieved, the housekeeper lowered her head. She stood frozen in place, too afraid to meet his gaze.

With this thought racing through his mind, Miguel hurried downstairs and picked up the landline to call his men. "Bring that dance champion over here!"

Less than 20 minutes later, they brought her in.

"What do you want?" the dance champion asked, looking utterly bewildered.

After being inexplicably knocked out earlier, she now found herself captured at Lopez Residence. What a night of misfortune it had turned out to be.

"What do I want?" Miguel stepped closer and slapped the woman, sending her crashing to the ground. Leaning over her, he jabbed a finger in her face and shouted, "Who sent you? Where is my stuff?"

"What are you talking about? I don't know anything! Didn't you hire me to dance for you? So why are you attacking me now? I could sue you for this!" The dance champion stood her ground, showing no signs of intimidation despite the slap.

"Sue me? Let's see if you can even make it out of here alive," Miguel threatened as he crouched down.

He tightened his grip on her chin, a menacing gleam in his eyes. "You're the only one who's been near me today. If you didn't take the key, then who else could it be?"
