Miguel had reached the end of his rope.
The tabloids had already plastered his nude photos everywhere; what difference would it make to see them again?
With a surge of determination, he stripped off his shirt completely.
"Ah!"
Several female guests quickly turned away; this behavior was far too inappropriate for the occasion.
Miguel had intended to go all the way, but as he unbuckled his belt, his movements faltered.
While showing off his physique was one thing, dancing in just his underwear would be an entirely different level of humiliation. His name would surely become the punchline of the entire city.
His father was already hesitant to hand over the business to him; if Miguel pulled a stunt like this, he might be thrown out of the family and be left with nothing.
With that thought weighing heavily on him, Miguel decided to halt his movements.
"Excuse me," Abigail interjected, holding up her phone to capture the moment. Leaning closer, she encouraged him, "Don't stop, Mr. Lopez! We're all excited to see your charming dance moves!"
Miguel shot her a furious glare. Ever since that insufferable woman appeared by Taylor's side, his luck had soured.
She was undoubtedly his archnemesis; if he ever got the chance, he would make sure to take her down.
Fed up with Miguel's lewd gaze on Abigail, Taylor stepped protectively in front of her. "Could you at least act like a man and keep your eyes to yourself?"
"Helly." Chandler's voice suddenly pierced the air.
The woman froze for a moment, quickly tucking the keys away.
As his footsteps approached, Chandler's deep voice resonated once more. "I've been taking care of myself, just as you asked. It's time for you to come home."
With her back turned to him, the woman remained silent. Behind the mask, her eyes briefly darkened, hinting at the turmoil within.
Just as Chandler closed the distance, an autonomous vehicle sped around the corner, coming to a halt right in front of her.
Without hesitation, the woman dashed to the car and jumped into the driver's seat. Revving the engine, she tore off into the night.
