Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1472

As Abigail snapped back to reality, she found herself pressed against Taylor, moving in perfect sync with his rhythm.

His demeanor exuded calm confidence; he stood tall and assured, his eyes fixed straight ahead, instilling a reassuring sense of comfort.

"Don't rush it; it's just a dance. Different strokes for different folks. Even if we lose, let's do so with grace and show this piece of music the respect it deserves."

Taylor's casual remarks lifted Abigail's spirits, dispelling her frustration.

At that moment, it felt as if only she and Taylor occupied the dance floor. She became his devoted partner, dancing in flawless harmony with him.

Meanwhile, Chandler watched Miguel's partner from a distance. His gaze brightened gradually, and he found his hands fidgeting unconsciously in his pocket.

"Helly, is that you?" he wondered.

As the music swelled to its climax, the dance partners swirled around, culminating in one final intimate embrace.

Miguel sported a triumphant smile as he turned to the woman, casting her a meaningful glance. "You certainly live up to your reputation as an international silver medalist. Let's grab a drink together afterward."

Beneath the mask, the woman's vibrant eyes sparkled, seemingly in tune with him. But as Miguel drew her into the spotlight, she unexpectedly let go of his hand and crumpled to the ground.

At that moment, panic flooded Miguel's mind. "This is it; everything has fallen apart," he thought.

Sure enough, the guests who had once cheered for them quickly shifted their opinions.

"Oh no, what a shame! I was really rooting for this pair!"

"Yeah, that woman's skills just aren't cutting it!"

The crowd followed her gaze, spotting Miguel with one foot on the steps. He stood with his back turned, appearing utterly dejected and forlorn.

With his arm around Abigail, Taylor walked toward him, the spotlight illuminating the three of them perfectly.

Miguel buried one hand deep in his pocket, clenching his fist tightly. After a long pause, he finally turned to face them.

"The outcome is clear. Mr. Lopez, it's time for you to uphold your promise," Abigail said with a teasing smile.

Taylor leaned in closer to Miguel and whispered, "All the key elites from Glendale are here. If you decide to back out, who knows how many will hesitate to work with your family in the future? What's your take?"

Miguel's fist tightened even more, his joints creaking ominously.

"What's the big deal about stripping? With a body like mine, why should I be embarrassed to show it off?"
