Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1393

Mason said that he was going to introduce Madelyn, but once he sat down, he just kept chatting with his friends and completely ignored Madelyn and the others.

After enjoying themselves for nearly an hour, a waiter came in with the bill, asked a few people, and then went straight to Mason.

Just when everyone thought that he would pay the bill, the waiter turned and walked toward Madelyn.

"Ms. Wood, Mr. Doyle said that he didn't bring his wallet and asked you to cover the bill for him first," the waiter explained politely.

Madelyn was a little embarrassed, but she still instinctively reached out to take the bill.

But Bentley was quicker and took the bill. "I'll pay the bill. We should not let a girl pay when we're out having fun."

Phishie nodded repeatedly at the side and leaned close to Madelyn, whispering, "Did you see that? Even your friend knows the rule. Doesn't your boyfriend understand it? Madelyn, you need to keep your eyes open when it comes to men."

Hearing that, Madelyn cast a thoughtful glance at Mason. A moment later, she turned away and covered the payment code on the bill, preventing Bentley from paying.

"Sorry," she said to the waiter. "We still want to hang out for a while, so let's hold off on the bill first. Please bring in another box of red wine."

Madelyn pointed at Mason, whose face was flushed from drinking. The waiter nodded to show that he understood before leaving.

"What are you doing? You shouldn't waste your money like this even if you are rich." Phishie couldn't put up with this. She despised men who spent women's money the most.

Was Madelyn so blinded by love? If that was the case, she and Bentley wouldn't be able to persuade her further.

"Shh!" Madelyn made a hush gesture at Phishie and then signaled with her eyes for them to sneak away.

Taylor sat on the hood of his car outside a popular dessert shop, looking at his watch and lightly tapping the windshield with another hand.

A moment later, Abigail sped in on her motorcycle and stopped precisely in front of his car.

Taylor straightened his body and showed his watch, pointing at the dial with a teasing smile. "Ten minutes; you're ten minutes later than me. You're doing bad."

Abigail took off her helmet and rolled her eyes. "That's because I'm not familiar with the roads in Glendale. After some time, you may not be able to beat me next time.

"Plus, you used a car while I used a motorcycle. It was unfair to begin with. If I modified a car, you wouldn't even be able to touch my rear end."

With that, she shoved her helmet into his arms and headed straight into the shop.
