Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1387

As the wedding march filled the air, Gloria, radiant in her gown, walked gracefully toward the stage, surrounded by four young flower girls. She tried to prolong each step, but eventually, she reached the stage.

Clutching a pair of scissors concealed in her gown, she took a deep breath and held her head high.

"You are the heiress of the Hathaway family. You must not cry. Even if you die, you must die with dignity!" she thought to herself.

Gloria closed her eyes, determined to end it all. Just as she tightened her grip on the scissors, Jeremy's phone rang, and he quickly dashed down the aisle toward one of the guests.

"Miss!" Jeremy exclaimed, pulling a female guest to her feet. "You were right! My company just came under attack from a competitor, and we've lost over a hundred million dollars. What should I do?"

As Gloria recognized the woman's face, her grip faltered immediately. The scissors slipped from her hand, plunging deep into the foam board on the stage.

Helen had arrived, just as she had hoped.

Helen sighed, her expression growing serious. "Honestly, Mr. Meyer, your troubles arise from being caught in something larger. There are certain matters I'm reluctant to discuss."

"Please, don't hold anything back!" Jeremy urged, visibly anxious. He was desperate to find a quick way to minimize his losses.

"In that case, I must speak frankly." Helen gestured for him to come closer, lowering her voice conspiratorially. "Mr. Meyer, the daughter of the Hathaway family is believed to be cursed.

"She is destined to bring disaster to any man she marries. If you bring her into your family, the tragedy of the Hathaway family's ruin may repeat itself!"

Standing nearby, Sandra couldn't resist eavesdropping. What began as mere curiosity quickly turned to anger as she heard the conversation unfold.

"You vile woman! What nonsense are you spewing? My daughter is innocent and untarnished, blessed with a bright future. How dare you slander her!" Sandra retorted, completely dismissing Chandler.

Meanwhile, Jeremy remained resolute in his disbelief. In a fit of anger, he ripped the boutonnière from his chest and threw it to the ground. "What do you mean 'bright future'? She's nothing but a jinx!"

Fuming with rage, Sandra stormed toward Helen. "You witch! Who gave you the right to show up and ruin everything? You've sabotaged all my plans! You better have a good reason, or you won't get away with this!" she screamed, raising her hand to strike.

In an instant, Chandler pulled Helen into his arms, shielding her from the impending blow. Before Sandra's hand could land, it was caught mid-air.

Gloria stepped in front of Helen and Chandler, forcefully pushing Sandra aside. "Don't even think about it! You won't lay a finger on Ms. Spencer!"

Sandra stumbled and fell to the ground, her shock quickly turning to fury as she glared at Gloria. "You ungrateful brat! How dare you side with outsiders to tarnish the Hathaway family name? Do you honestly believe your late father would have ever condoned such a betrayal?"

"The real betrayer of Mr. Hathaway is none other than you, Mrs. Hathaway," Chandler interrupted firmly.

At that moment, Sandra's phone, which had slipped from her hand, pinged with a new message.

Chandler raised an eyebrow. "A message? Go ahead, read it. I'm sure it'll be quite revealing."
