Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1347

Bentley revealed a contented smile. Just as he was about to confess, he heard footsteps behind him—Helen had arrived.

"I'm sorry for being late. There's a bit of traffic on the way," Helen explained as she walked in.

Bentley had to hold back the words he was about to say, and he became upset.

Seeing Helen, Ashley instantly put on a bright smile. "You're not late; we've also just arrived."

Then, she placed the flowers and the bag on Bentley's seat earlier and pulled out a chair on the other side. "Helen, sit here."

With a smile, Helen walked over and sat beside Ashley. After that, Ashley's eyes were fixed on Helen.

Bentley suddenly felt like an invisible person as he quietly moved the flowers and the bag aside and sat back down by himself.

Helen had been thinking about Otto and was absent-minded the entire time.

Halfway through the meal, Ashley suddenly lamented, "Somehow, I feel close to Helen, and it reminds me of some unforgettable memories. Do you all have something that you can't let go of?"

Helen was completely lost in her thoughts and didn't respond, creating an awkward atmosphere.

Fearing that Ashley would feel embarrassed, Bentley quickly answered, "I do."

He then began to open up melancholily. "Actually, I miss my mom very much. I think about her every day and wish that she were still alive. But I have to act carefree so that my dad won't be sad.

"I know he hasn't forgotten her, just like me. She can only rest in peace if we both live happily together."

Hearing this, Helen snapped back to reality and looked at Bentley with sympathy.

"There's no need. I'm going to Celebrity Hotel which is quite far from here." Helen wished to give the two of them some space to be alone together.

"It's hard to get a cab at this time." Bentley tossed his car key to her and said, "You can drive my car there."

Helen remembered the traffic conditions on her way here, so she didn't refuse. "Thank you."

Then, she nodded at Ashley before walking out.

Ashley watched as Helen disappeared at the door, losing in her own thoughts.

They had agreed to have this meal since yesterday. What could have made Helen so anxious?

After pondering for a while, she also decided to leave.
