Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1346

In the evening, Bentley was waiting at the entrance of a fancy restaurant in the city. Before long, a cab slowly came to a stop. The car door was opened, and Ashley got out of the car.

"You're here, Ms. Guyton." Bentley instantly turned into an infatuated guy and went over to welcome her.

Ashley frowned in confusion at the sight of him. "You are… Bentley? Bentley Spade?"

"Yes." Bentley scratched the back of his head shyly.

"Your outfit is quite special today." Ashley smiled awkwardly.

Bentley was younger than her. The last time they met, he was dressed in trendy clothes, looking youthful and quite recognizable.

But today, with his meticulously styled hair and formal attire, she couldn't recognize him at a glance.

Bentley thought she was mesmerized by him, so he smiled shyly.

"Where is Helen?" Ashley changed the subject.

"Oh, she is on the way. She should be here soon. Let's go in first." Bentley led Ashley in like a gentleman.

This was the first time he spent time alone with the girl he liked, so he was excited and cautious.

In fact, he had privately invited Ashely out several times, but she always found an excuse to decline him. Therefore, he thought of a way to invite her in the name of Helen, and she came as expected.

Helen was just a wingman, so it didn't matter if she came late.

Bentley was considerate and attentive to Ashley in the private room, but she maintained a polite distance and kept thanking him, looking absent-minded.

Bentley brought up several topics, but her responses were rather perfunctory. Even though he was optimistic, he still couldn't help feeling dejected.

"Just take it," Bentley insisted. "There aren't any girls at my house, so it's useless to bring it back, isn't it?"

With that being said, Ashley had no choice but to accept it.

Looking at the delicate roses and lavish designer bag in her arms, she teased, "Mr. Spade, are you this generous to every new friend?"

"I only do this for you," Bentley blurted out. Only then did he realize he had revealed his true feelings, so his face turned red with embarrassment.

Young people often had romantic feelings. Ashley could easily see through Bentley and joked with him on purpose, "Why would you think of giving me these?"

"My dad told me that girls like flowers and bags," Bentley answered honestly.

Ashley was amused; it was rare to find a boy who still asked his parents for advice on pursuing girls. "You're really adorable."
