Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 990

"Nothing." Samantha headed inside, handing her coat to the maid.

"It's been five years since you broke up with Shaun, and it's not like you to stay single. You're not still hung up on him, are you?" Millie followed her.

"Of course not!" Samantha quickly denied it.

Seeing her daughter's reaction, Millie sensed there might be more going on. She knew about Shaun and hadn't disapproved of their relationship. She would support any man her daughter loved. But the Thompsons' status in Jadonia was incompatible with their own.

Moses didn't notice Samantha's unusual reaction and added playfully, "So, are you tired of men? Have you become interested in women instead? Even if you like women, your mom and I are fine with it as long as you're happy."

Samantha groaned. "No, it's just that work is exhausting, and I don't feel like dating right now."

"Is that so?" Millie looked at her suspiciously.

"Yes!" Samantha confirmed.

To prevent any misunderstanding, she added, "Besides, I did have boyfriends after Shaun!"

Millie remembered the guy who deceived Samantha and turned out to be gay. "That pretty boy doesn't count. He was gay."

"But I really think Jameson is a good match." Millie sat beside her. "He has stayed single since you two broke up. I think he still has feelings for you. You could give it another try. You did mention wanting marriage and kids, didn't you?

"If you wait too long, Hera's children will be grown up and dating around while your kids will still be babies."

Samantha couldn't help but laugh. Even so, she saw her mother's point. "Alright, I'll see how it goes."

Seeing her daughter's lack of refusal, Millie felt hopeful and pushed further. "Angela is hosting a ball the day after tomorrow, and we're invited. Why don't you have Jameson accompany you as your date?"

Samantha thought it over. Since she had decided to start a new relationship and move on from Shaun, she should give someone else a chance. Hence, she nodded. "Alright, I'll do it."
