Bernard asked Dylan to take Dora to the beach to have some fun. Only Bernard and Shaun were left in the living room in the mansion.
"I never thought I'd see the day when an experienced womanizer like you gets given the cold shoulder by your ex," said Bernard casually as he sat down beside the coffee table.
As he poured himself a cup of coffee, Shaun lay languidly on the couch and plucked out a cigarette from his cigarette box. He was about to light the cigarette but then remembered that the twins were staying here, so he suppressed his urge to smoke and tossed the cigarette onto the table.
"My grandpa's been nagging at me to get married so often that I'm getting a headache because of it." Shaun sighed and continued, "I've finally gotten away from him, so can you stop making fun of me?
A thought flashed across his mind, and he asked, "How's your preparation for your wedding?"
Bernard's proposal had made headlines. Naturally, Shaun learned of his marriage.
Bernard answered, "I'll tell you about it once I'm done making the preparations, so don't worry."
"Thing is, my grandpa learned that you're going to get married. He's probably going to force me into marrying one of his comrades' granddaughters!" Shaun was exasperated.
Being two years older than Bernard, Shaun was 32 this year. Before Shaun turned 30, Alex turned a blind eye to Shaun's reckless pleasure-seeking behavior.
Ever since Shaun turned 30, Alex started urging the former to marry. Shaun had lots of exes, and rumors about him having different girlfriends circulated. Even so, none of those women were right for him to marry.
Alex started to panic since Shaun still couldn't find himself a woman who was good enough to marry. Hence, Alex started arranging blind dates for Shaun.
Shaun wasn't strongly against the idea of going on blind dates, but Alex was focused merely on the women's temperament and character. Alex didn't care about the women's beauty in the least, so all the women he arranged to go on a blind date with Shuan were his past comrades' granddaughters.
Frustrated, Shaun pleaded with Bernard, "For my sake, can you two please keep things low for your wedding?"
Bernard coolly said, "You'd sleep with a man, then?"
Goosebumps broke out all over Shaun's body, and he said, "Pretend I never said that. I don't have the guts to try that."
Shaun had quite a few friends who sought pleasure with both men and women, and they had tried introducing him to a few other men. However, Shaun had no interest in men. Women were much better in terms of this.
Just then, Shaun's phone chirped twice. He received a notification from the dating application he had been using recently. He put his glass down and tapped the app.
It was a message from "Princess in Flats". She sent him two photos taken at the seaside. He took a cursory glance at the photos before looking out the window at the beach.
Wasn't the place in the photos the same place as the beach just outside?
