Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 971

"Yeah! It didn't rise with me around!" Samantha seethed. "To be precise, it won't rise in the presence of women. He's gay! And he's even the submissive one!"

"He already had a boyfriend before we got together. He said he lied to me because he needed money to finance his boyfriend's studies abroad. Actually, he hooked up with a few other rich women online when we were together too. I was so pissed! I almost stopped believing in love once and for all!"

Hera sighed and handed Samantha a straw. "Here, have some coconut water. It'll calm you down. You have quite the luck to meet a jerk like him. Learn from your lesson and stop being blinded by love."

Samantha took a large gulp of coconut water and said, "But whenever I see you and Bernard together, I find that I have faith in love again. I want to find myself a good man like how you did. I want to marry him and have kids with him. When the time comes, I want you to be my children's mother-in-law."

Hera followed Samantha's gaze, which landed on Bernard. Bernard wasn't far away from them. He was accompanying Dora and Dylan as they built sandcastles.

Hera found it amusing how the grandmaster of Astral Nova, who was also a ruthless businessman, would be willing to keep the twins company at the beach like this.

"How are you going to find that man of yours, then?" Hera mused.

Samantha pondered it for a bit. "Finding one in real life is too hard. I've resorted to making friends online."

Hera thought it would be something more viable and not just resorting to online dating. The corners of her mouth twitched at Samantha's answer.

"Don't you think it's a little too unreliable?" Hera said.

"It's okay, I guess? I'll chat with the guy first, and if things are good, I'll ask him out for a date." Samantha thought it was a sound idea. "I've been chatting with a few guys lately. One of them's called 'Mr. Diamond'. He and I have been chatting for quite some time already. I think he's the most suitable candidate for a boyfriend."

A shy smile formed on Samantha's face when she brought the guy up. She grabbed her phone and took a photo of the setting sun before sending it to Mr. Diamond.

She then sent him a message, "The view by the sea is so pretty. I get to be here thanks to my boss. It'd be wonderful if only you were here with me."

"That's why we still haven't met in person," Samantha explained. "I still want things to remain the way they are for now. When the time is right and the two of us get along well enough, I'll find a chance to tell him the truth."

"How can you make sure that he isn't using a false identity like what you're currently doing?" Hera pointed out.

There were so many scammers out there these days, and Samantha was so gullible and easily lied to by jerks. If she dated people online, she might be exploited and taken advantage of by others.

But Samantha wasn't worried about that. "He won't. My instincts are sharp. You have to trust a woman's sixth sense."

But Hera wasn't convinced. "Rather than opting for online dating, why don't you go on blind dates? If it still isn't good enough, you can just get back together with Shaun. If you two reconcile, I'm sure your relationship will last a long time."

In her opinion, Samantha getting back together with Shaun was more feasible and realistic. Besides, Samantha truly loved him.
