Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 962

Although Giselle was still rather upset, she refused to die. Despite feeling something was amiss, she still obediently finished the soup.

"I'm really hungry now. When can I start having solid food?"

"I've customized a treatment plan to ensure your full recovery. You'll be having herbal remedies and can't have any other food.

"I'll add the daily nutrients a human needs in your herbal remedy. Not only will it guarantee your safety, but it'll also heal you. If there's no problem, please sign here to acknowledge the treatment," Thomas said while handing Giselle a treatment plan for her to review.

The treatment plan included all sorts of medical terms and also mentioned that Giselle was willingly participating in some kind of pharmaceutical experiment. Although she didn't understand anything, the treatment plan seemed rather legitimate, and Bernard had indeed assigned Thomas to her case.

No matter how vicious Bernard could be, he wouldn't kill her. After all, she was Lucius' only daughter. If something happened to her, Lucius would definitely seek revenge against Bernard.

With that in mind, Giselle signed the treatment plan.

The following treatment was for Giselle to drink the herbal remedy prepared by Thomas three times a day. She was able to hang on for the first three days. After all, she used to go on extreme diets just to maintain her figure.

A week later, she couldn't take it anymore. She was only consuming the herbal remedy without any other food. It was obvious that she had lost five pounds, and she was dying to have some flavorful food.

Giselle could only comfort herself by saying that she would be fine. Not only would she be able to heal herself, but she could maintain her figure.

One month later, Giselle was starving terribly and had lost more than ten pounds. Occasionally, she even had stomach pain. If she didn't eat anything else, she was certain that her teeth would fall off.

Although Thomas said he was her attending physician, he rarely dropped by to treat her. Having been hungry for so long, she became weak and exhausted. While she wasn't coughing up blood anymore, she was still wheezing.

Giselle wanted to die and be free of the pain. But that was harder than she thought.

She once tried biting her tongue to kill herself, but she had no strength. Since it was far too agonizing, she gave up on that idea.

She also tried not drinking the soup so that she could starve to death. In the end, the nurse would forcefully make her drink the herbal remedy.

Those bowls of medical remedies kept her alive, not giving her a chance to breathe her last breath.

Half a year later, Giselle was so skinny that she was just skin and bones. She lay on the bed weakly while finding it hard to breathe. Everyone had slowly forgotten about her, thinking that she had died from tuberculosis.
