Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 831

"There's something wrong with him. When he relapses, he recognizes no one at all. He might even lose control and kill someone!" Nicholas explained.

He continued to rant, "Take the Killians, for example. The Killian family was the most prominent of families back then. You've seen how they ended up. The family's nothing but an empty shell right now. I haven't even gotten started about the women who were sent to him. He tortured them—"

Hera cut him short, "So, you're afraid of him, aren't you?"

"No!" Nicholas almost choked on his words but quickly put on a brave front.

"Why are you ranting so much, then?"

Nicholas fell silent for a while before scratching his head and saying, "Can't you see that I'm doing all of this for you? I don't want you getting on that scumbag's bad side. He'll only make your life miserable. You should just live a good life with me. I can raise the twins."

Something brewed within Hera, but she couldn't tell what it was. "Fine. Let's head back to the mall and pick Dylan and Dora up."

On the way back to the hotel, Dora was so exhausted that she dozed off leaning against Hera's arm.

When they reached the hotel, Hera wanted to help Dora shower before letting her sleep. However, Dora became wide awake after the shower.

"Mommy, can Dyl and I sleep with Uncle Gino?" Dora blinked her big, pretty eyes. "I'll be good and go to bed early. I promise I won't eat snacks at night or kick my blanket away. Dyl can keep an eye on me."

Dylan stood by the bathroom door and nodded at Dora's words. Hera never thought Gino and the twins would be so close after just a day.

If Hera didn't give the twins the green light, they'd probably sneak out of their bedroom in the middle of the night and tiptoe their way into Gino's room.

The twins would definitely do that. Hera was sure of it. They were her children, after all.

"Okay. Don't cause trouble, though," said Hera. "Wait for Dyl to finish showering. I'll have Tiffany take you two downstairs in a while."

"Got it!" Dora chirped.

Dylan grabbed his pajamas, went into the bathroom, and showered. Of the twins, he was the independent one. He didn't need Hera to help him shower.

After Tiffany took the twins to Gino's room downstairs, Hera opened the tap to fill the bathtub with water. She would soak herself in the water and relax for a bit.

She had just taken off her clothes when the doorbell rang. Thinking that Dora and Dylan might've left something behind, she wrapped herself in a towel and opened the door.
