Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 830

"Then shut up," Hera said coldly, wringing her arm out of Nicholas' grasp. She continued heading inside.

"Wait. You can't… " Nicholas didn't continue. She wouldn't stop anyway.

Helpless, he scratched his head and closed the door behind them. It wasn't that he was afraid—he was worried. Bernard might not let Hera and Nicholas go if he found out that the two of them entered this place without his permission.

Hera stepped into the building. White cloth covered all the furniture here. The sense of familiarity she felt became even stronger now.

She could remember the placement of all the furniture in the rooms and where the different cutlery was placed in the cabinet. She could also remember the genre of books that were arranged neatly on the bookshelves in the study.

Everything was so familiar. It was as though she could walk freely here blindfolded.

What was more, she felt that someone had lived with her here once.

Realizing that she was heading to the bedroom, Nicholas quickly pulled her back. "That's enough. There's nothing to look at around here. This place isn't for rent. I can have my men search for a place with a similar layout if that's what you want."

A commotion came from outside after Nicholas was done talking. He muttered under his breath, "For real? Are they really here?"

"Who are they?" Hera asked.

"They own this place." Nicholas stopped her from moving to the door. "Hush. We'll leave after they leave. We don't want to bump into them."

But Hera didn't care. She pushed him away and stated plainly, "Very well. I'd like to ask him if this courtyard house is on sale."

Once again, Nicholas grabbed her hand to stop her. "No! You can't go outside! You have no idea how crazy—"

"Let go!"

"No!"

The noise they made caught the attention of the people outside, and the door opened with a resounding bang.

Hera and Nicholas froze. A second later, they turned to see who it was. Two men in suits were standing by the door.
