The Heartbreak Prescription novel Chapter 975

Chapter 975

Chelsea seized the chance to put Halsey down hard. She wasn’t about to miss an opportunity like this.

Elise jumped in, “I’m not so sure about that. Ms. Mallin comes from a good family, and we come from humble beginnings-but we work hard, push ourselves, and never fall behind. Background doesn’t really define a person. If she has the skills, she can show it on stage and beat me!”

Halsey just smiled. Chelsea and Elise used to be at odds, but now they were teaming up against her.

She curled her lips.

“Sometimes, you two really are ridiculous. One minute you say I’m lucky because I’m pregnant, the next you say it’s all about good family background. Whatever I have, that’s my luck. No need to get jealous just because you can’t have what I have. It just makes you look petty.”

Elise and Chelsea were left speechless.

Chelsea clenched her fists. “Everyone’s waiting to see you dance.”

“You talk big now, but if you mess up, people will be laughing at you!” Elise added.

Laugh at her? Not likely.

Halsey stood. “Okay, I’ll dance. Enjoy the show.”

With all eyes on her, Halsey stepped onto the stage.

As a wealthy heiress, this was her first time dancing publicly. The crowd was already buzzing, shouting excitedly.

Halsey confidently stood center stage, then raised a finger to her lips, making a “shh” gesture. The crowd quieted instantly.

Soon, classical music began to play.

Halsey lifted her hand and swept her long black hair back with a flirtatious flick, then gracefully moved her arms and legs to

dance.

Chelsea and Elise waited eagerly to see Halsey mess up-especially Elise, who was sure Halsey couldn’t dance better than her.

She scoffed, “Here we go-”

The next moment, she paused. She noticed Halsey’s body was more flexible, her moves more elegant.

In truth, Halsey had studied dance since she was little. Her figure was as graceful as a swan. She started with a short warm-up, then grabbed a steel pole with one delicate hand.

She leaped lightly before wrapping her lithe body around the pole like an enchantress, full of charm.

The whole bar exploded with excitement. The men all stood, mesmerized.

They had seen pole dancing before, but never like this. Halsey’s performance wasn’t flashy or cheap-it was like a goddess performing a dance ritual, utterly captivating.

“Wow, I didn’t expect Ms. Mallin to dance this well. I’m now her fan!”
