The Heartbreak Prescription novel Chapter 976

Chapter 976

Shaun’s eyes stayed fixed on the graceful figure on stage. A wealthy heiress with a dance background, Halsey had mastered the art of softness and charm. She knew exactly how to show off her beauty.

But Shaun wasn’t feeling great. His handsome brow was furrowed and tense. So many men watching Halsey made him seriously uncomfortable.

He didn’t like anyone staring at her. Honestly, he hadn’t even wanted her to get on stage and dance.

After a few minutes, the pole dance that had set the whole room on fire ended. A light sheen of fragrant sweat covered Halsey’s pale skin, like dew glistening on rose petals.

The crowd erupted in applause, pounding tables and cheering, “Halsey! Halsey! Halsey!”

Halsey took the microphone and put a finger to her lips, signaling everyone to be quiet.

The men hushed immediately.

“Everyone, this dance I just performed-it was actually for one person.”

The crowd went wild.

“Who? Tell us! Is it me?”

“Get out of the way! This dance is definitely for me!”

They all scrambled to claim the honor.

Halsey’s shining, clear eyes scanned the crowd before settling on the luxury table. She pointed her finger.

“That person is right there.”

All eyes turned toward Shaun’s table.

The rich kids were losing it.

“Mr. Lane, Ms. Mallin’s dance is definitely for you!”

“Is she confessing her feelings to you with this dance tonight?”

“You’re so lucky to have her!”

Shaun’s cold gaze cut through the crowd and locked onto Halsey on stage. Was this dance really for him?

At the thought, Shaun smiled faintly.

But then Halsey’s finger moved again, landing on Elise.

Shaun felt like he had been hit hard in the chest. All his hopes vanished in an instant. He started to suspect Halsey was doing this

on purpose.
