The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 323

With Skylar's intervention, Raymond and the others were taken away, and all the videos taken by the crowd at the scene were deleted.

Things returned to normal outside Jerome Medical Clinic, except that more than half of the patients had left.

Clearly, the commotion earlier indeed affected business to some extent.

However, Finnegan was unbothered. He believed that patients who trusted Jerome Medical Clinic would still come, and it didn't matter if those who didn't trust the clinic stopped visiting.

Subsequently, he invited Skylar to the backyard.

“Hailey, serve us some coffee!”

Skylar waved a hand and said, “Let's skip the coffee, Dr. Larkin.”

Upon hearing that, Finnegan didn't insist. He waved a hand and dismissed Hailey. “Thank you for your help earlier. How should I address you?”

If Skylar weren't there, he would have certainly taken matters into his own hands just now.

Although it would be satisfying, it would inevitably lead to moral condemnation and also cause distress to Desmond and Quiana.

Therefore, Finnegan was still grateful.

Skylar chuckled. “Don't you already know, Dr. Larkin?”

“You're Mr. Dunn's grandson?”

Recalling Skylar mentioning Norman Corporation in Jipsdale earlier, Finnegan flashed him a smirk.

Skylar nodded. “I'm Skylar Dunn. Norman Dunn is my grandfather.”

Acknowledging that with a grunt, Finnegan asked, “Your grandfather is outside, isn't he?”

“He's in the car. Unfortunately, it isn't convenient for him to make an appearance. So, he asked me to step in and help resolve your problem before bringing some people over to apologize to you, Dr. Larkin.”

While saying that, Skylar made a call. “Come in.”

A moment later, several elites of the Dunn family pushed in two wheelchairs occupied by Jacqueline and Jacques, both of whom looked deathly pale.

Casting them a casual glance, Skylar commanded in a cold voice, “Kneel and apologize to Dr. Larkin!”

Jacqueline gritted her teeth, wanting to say no.

But recalling Norman's instructions, she had no choice but to force herself to stand up and kneel before Finnegan. “I'm sorry, Dr. Larkin!”

Since even she had knelt down, Jacques dared not remain seated.

With the support of two elites of the Dunn family, he knelt on the ground and prostrated himself in apology. “I... I'm sorry, Dr. Larkin!”

Finnegan did not spare them a single look.

“This is it?”

Understanding Finnegan's meaning, Skylar replied, “Jacqueline offended you by irrationally defending Jacques, so her punishment of losing all her cultivation was well-deserved, Dr. Larkin. No one will pursue this matter further. Jacques is the instigator of all this, and Grandma Marisol has already severed ties with him, banished him from Fleur Villa, and reclaimed everything!”

Finnegan narrowed his eyes. “Is that all?”

He was considerably satisfied with how Jacques was dealt with. Moreover, even if nothing was done, Jacques only had, at most, another month to live.

However, he was not very satisfied with the way Jacqueline was dealt with.

After all, she was the one who summoned Gideon without getting her facts straight, forcing him to utilize some of his connections to suppress the situation.

Skylar fell silent briefly before he replied, “Grandma Marisol said that if you still cannot forgive Jacqueline, she is willing to use all her assets in Nuthana as compensation, Dr. Larkin.”

At his words, a thought popped into Finnegan's mind.

Jacques and Jacqueline are both her adopted god-grandchildren. Why is there such a significant difference in the way they're treated?

Squinting slightly, Finnegan looked at Jacqueline, who looked utterly dejected. Then, he turned his gaze to Skylar.

With a snap of his fingers, understanding dawned upon him. “So, that's how it is. In this case, I'll let it slide this time. As for compensation, never mind!”

Skylar and Jacqueline shared the resemblance of siblings.

Therefore, it was clear that Jacqueline was Marisol and Norman's biological granddaughter.

Given that, Finnegan didn't mind sparing Jacqueline this time. He believed that Norman and Marisol would not allow Jacqueline to do anything foolishly again.
